Giants Win the Super Bowl…AND NOBODY GAVE US A SHOT!!!
They did it. They did it. THE GIANTS DID IT!
TAKE IT ALL IN.
The Giants absolutely played their hearts out in one of the most inspiring games in professional team sports. The Giants shocked the world in the greatest super bowl in NFL history. Nobody thought we would win. Nobody WANTED US TO WIN. For Giants fans, this is truly a surreal moment.
More to come…

the mannings own the NFL! Brady is an afterthought.
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:24 pm
We did it yes NY owns this for this season.
I wish i was a betting man i called each game round for round. Slow game with mistakes and great plays all around.
The play of the game was the 30 yard pass to tyree using his head to hold on to the ball. Then Smith’s 3rd and 10 catch let our hearts beat because we knew we would win.
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:25 pm

ENJOY IT BOYS, WE ARE CHAMPS!
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:32 pm
Well. Brandon…We both said they would beat the Pats, 6 weeks ago……We were just wrong about which game……………WWWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWWW
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:34 pm
A big pat from us at the Ravens Roost. You are both right and wrong. Yes I thought the Pats would walk away with it. But I definitely wanted Big Blue to win. Whe n Manning completed that pass to Tryee in the 4th, man that is a play careers are made from.
Great game, great season, great playoff run to all of you
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:36 pm
this is amazing. i want my 18-1 shirt now!
i am not as shocked as most though. Coveringthis team and writign about this team so closely has been a great indow into what type of team they are, and i hope we all gave you something on this site to bring you closer to this 2007 team. this is a special team, and a special season.
on a personal note, my entire family are fans of the giants and my sister was unable to watch this game (walled up in a hospital). She is pretty sick, and we needed this victory. please keep her in your prayers.
great win, and thanks for reading all season
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:36 pm
holy shit i’m dying lets go jints!!!!!!!
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:37 pm
All season long the Giants made us hang on the edge of our seats but this time it was worth it. Great game. What a draft. Rookies came through big time. Can’t wait for next year. Now I guess I have to get a tatoo. Don’t want to jinx us.

BREAKING NEWS:
Tiki Barber commits suicide.
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:45 pm
Congratulations to the Giants and the team at Giants 101. It’s good to be the King! You forgot the shake!!!!!
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:45 pm

February 3rd, 2008 at 10:48 pm
You think pats might want to take back that 4th down try decision?
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:49 pm
damn straight…. haha youll see that play from eli manning on sportscenters top ten… guarantee it ! lol bask in the glory my fellow giant fans….its never felt so sweet b4…
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:50 pm
i love how brady loses the game by 3, but in his postgame he says it “didn’t come down to FGs”
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:52 pm
Steve Smith had some big conversions. Kevin Boss at that huge 45 yarder. Bradshaw rushed for 45 yards on 9 carries. Alford had that sack on Brady in the Pats attempt with 30 seconds left. Johnson and Ross didn’t do anything note-worthy, but were still part of the defense that held the Pats, the best offense in the NFL, to 14 points.
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:52 pm
I guess it’s much harder to win SBs when you can’t tape the opposing team’s walk through. Suck it Patriots fan… specially you Bill Simmons, you overhyped, talentless hack who only has a job because the head of ESPN lost a bet. Now excuse me while I go and celebrate with the wife (also a Giants fan… wink).
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:54 pm
Yessssssssssssssssssss
It doesn’t get better than this.
Analysis is for tomorrow but Eli shaking off 3 Pats defenders and Tyree somehow catching that ball is one of the all time NFL plays.
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:58 pm
Man that was awesome, such a great game with so many great stories behind it. I just bought about $200 worth of superbowl stuff just now. GO G-Men. Congrats Eli.
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:58 pm
now we have to wonder about Strahan, Toomer, Madison and Feagles al retiring. Feagles will retire no doubt. He is the best punter in NFL history and finally has his ring. He wanted to retire two years ago but kept playing for a chance to get his ring.
Strahan is undecided but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. He has ring, which he’s always wanted. He had Hall of Fame numbers and has no reason to keep playing, unless he wants to try for one more ring.
Toomer and Madison are the unknowns. Madison is what 34? and Toomer 33? both had nice, comeback years but might decide to retire before their performances start to suffer from their age.
February 3rd, 2008 at 10:59 pm
Missed the post game, did anyone ask Brady about Plaxicos 17 point prediction?
February 3rd, 2008 at 11:07 pm
That bitch Belnichek did not even stay to shake coughlin’s hand. Eli’s escape to Tyree’s catch will go down in history.
February 3rd, 2008 at 11:10 pm
Nobody wanted the Giants to win? There are a lot of “nobody believed in us” lines that you can play, but the majority of America, including me, was pulling for the Giants. While you may have been the underdog, you were definitely the overwhelming fan favorite.
Congratulations on the win.
February 3rd, 2008 at 11:10 pm
oz-
he shook his hand and hugged TC…it happened when they all came on the field with 1 second left
but he a lil bitch in postgame
February 3rd, 2008 at 11:13 pm
nothing can compare to this….the giants winning and holding the “best offense in the history of the nfl” to 14 points. i am so waiting for the so called “experts” to EAT BLANKING CROW on camera……i hate them, Troy and Joe Buck had trouble eating crow but i ENJOYED every second of it……and then came TERRY BRADSHAW who kept on saying he wanted to be a part of history in presenting the Lombardi trophy to the 19 - 0 patriots….only it didn’t happen and he had to hand the trophy to TOM COUGHLIN (who he called a “jerk”)….what poetic justice……what goes around comes around….i love it…..may terry bradshaw whither up and die, given that he is as old as dirt anyway, lol
February 3rd, 2008 at 11:16 pm

February 3rd, 2008 at 11:19 pm
strahan and toom come back to defend itle….i guarantee that like plax…write it down before you say other wise. All the people who doubted us….please please please just take the back seat and shut up!!!! WE ARE THE BEST TEAM EVER!!!!! ADD IT UP!!!!
February 3rd, 2008 at 11:19 pm

February 3rd, 2008 at 11:20 pm
i’d say about 75% of the fans at the game were rooting for the Giants.
February 3rd, 2008 at 11:22 pm

Congrads to the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS.. What a great win… for this team and us fans… Congrads to our MVP….. ELI…Just think how good this team will be next year…. With a free agent or two & we sing our own free agents & a good nfl rookie draft we could wind up here again defending our superbowl title… We also need to keep Spags and not allow him to go to the deadskins…. What a great win for us true giant fans…. CONGRADS….. AGAIN….
February 4th, 2008 at 2:00 am
HopLax–I’m kicking my own ass up and down the living room! Eating crow has never tasted so good.

February 4th, 2008 at 7:22 am
Peter 2 - you were a believer at the end…that’s all that matters.
February 4th, 2008 at 8:00 am
Where, I wonder, is that ass Dale Anderson?
February 4th, 2008 at 9:11 am
Last night was the best night of my life as a sports fan. So proud of this team. Nobody can take anything away from us now
February 4th, 2008 at 9:37 am
This message is for Eli Manning; man that crow tastes mighty good.
February 4th, 2008 at 10:04 am
As a bit of a New England fan (although not a huge fan of Mr Brady), I’d like to offer my congratulations to New York on their win.
New York out thought and out fought New England all night (well, most of it was played in the morning over here in the UK - was it that trip to the capital of empire that inspired the Giants?) long and thoroughly deserved their win.
The crucial play had to be the Lesser Manning’s determination to get away from the trap and offloading to some chap up the field. But did he really deserve the MVP? I guess it’s hard to give the MVP to a whole unit, but the most valuable thing on the field last night was the New York defence. They were, to a man, outstanding.
And I also think New England’s defence did a reasonable enough job, but they just let Manning slip from their grasp that one vital time.
Well done again to the Giants - worthy champions.
February 4th, 2008 at 11:53 am
Way to go Giants! Sat down here in Tennessee decked out in ALL our Giant gear! What a great game! Best I have ever seen. What a great team!

February 4th, 2008 at 5:42 pm
What are the giant organization wiating for …. SIGN SPAGS NOW, KEEP HIM OUR D.C. and why is he going on an interview on Tuesday when we are having a parade in N.Y. Why… what’s the deal on that…Mara…Tisch….Reese what are you people waiting for …. Snyder is an idiot …. Make Spags the asst. coach to T.C. adn groom him for the giant head coaching when T.C. retires and offer him more money…. Get on it …. with the right free agent , our own signed & a good rookie draft we can be back to the superbowl again next tear… What the heck are you people waiting for…. Until we lose him then you’ll say we should have signed him… WAKE UP … SMELL THE COFFEE… AND GET WITH THE DAMN PROGRAM…. Giant fans if we we’re to lose Spags to the deadskins because of poor mangement who do you guys think could be our next D.C. and could he be better or as good as Spags…. a worried giant fan…. Congrads on a great superbowl win …. I’m proud to be a giant fan b ut I do get mad on some of the idiot type things the front office maybe doing with the Spags situation…..
February 4th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
Thank God, Now I can put away the heart medication ( I can’t handle another right to end game) and weekends can become normal, I still can’t believe we won, what a magical season. p.s. I hope we can hold on to Spags he puts his heart and soul into coaching, what a job he did with the D just ask Brady.
February 4th, 2008 at 9:08 pm
Sure seemed like enough Giants fans were in attendance. I think more wanted them to wins than the Patriots.
February 4th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
What a win.. And to think some of the posts here were to get rid of Eli & TC.
Who what of thought this…….
February 5th, 2008 at 9:43 am
Andrew Farrar, what is wrong with you?? I swear if you say lesser manning one more time. You just do not learn get away from Giants 101 and stay away. I have tons of time and will follow you all over MVN and get on your case.
Yeah had to sleep all day yesterday, long drive to and from Superbowl Party, caught some ESPN in between naps. I am now absolutely positive that it was real and “AM PROUD TO BE A GIANTS FAN”
February 5th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
And that’s supposed to bother me, Mike VT?
Oh, Lesser Manning - now, what you going to do about it?
February 6th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
Let Andrew Farrar say what he wants. He should trademark it; he’s the only one in America who will be saying that from now on.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:33 am
Well, I might be, if I were in America, but I’m not.
