G101 Live Draft Blog
Here we are. Draft day. We are blogging live. I am at a party in Philly. Last night ended with my brother and I yelling at Eagles fans. “It’s all about rings!!!” I am live from enemy territory. We are about to get underway.Â
- Who do you like better McShay or Kiper? - ROC
- So we all did mock drafts, and my one friend had someone named Daryll Ledbetter going seventeenth to Kansas City.  As you know, I pretty much know every D-I football player, so I googled him. No stats. So we all thought he was listening to Pearl Jam “Yellow Ledbetter” and got confused. Turns out it was the author of the mock draft that he copied and pasted in. He will be made fun of all day. - ROC
- I think the Falcons messed up with that one. Dorsey and Brohm seems like the much better way to go in my opinion. -Sean
- I am also not not a fan of the Ryan pick. If he was in Eli’s draft he would have been the 4th QB off the board. Reminds me of Matt Schaub talentwise. 19 picks last year. Yuck. - ROC
- Chiefs must really like Dorsey. Saints were offereing their 1st and 2nd this year plus next years 1st to get him. -Sean
- Saints trade up to get Ellis. I hope they didn’t give the Patriots too much. -Sean
- So Jacksonville is picking at 8th now. Ravens are going to try and get Henne with the Jags pick. The Jags need D-ends. Derrick Harvey? There are none worth taking. They have corners, they have backs. I am thinking Brandon Albert. O Line? This is weird. - ROC
- Hate to say I told you that Mayo would be gone at 31…No wait. I love it. Mmmmmm, Mayo. - ROC
- So we were just arguing about the top quarterbacks in the league. This turned into a conversation about the worst quarterbacks in the league. Which turned into a conversation about Brodie Croyle. Which turned into a conversation about Brodie Croyle’s wife. All I can say is google her…trust me. - ROC
- Flacco just went ahead of Brian Brohm…I think I just threw up in my mouth. - ROC
- This draft has been absolutely insane. I don’t even know what to think- Sean
- Rashard Mendenhall. Pro Bowler in Pittsburgh. Right guy on the right team. Mark it down. - ROC
- Are the Titans the worst drafting team in the league? This guys says yes. - ROC
- Giants are on the clock! Lets Go Kenny Phillips!- Sean
- Sean…it’s gonna be my boy Tyrell Johnson! -ROC
- Days like this when I am glad I am glad I am not a Jets fan…That pick should have taken Brohm. Keller? Ugly…Or at least a Henne on the rocks…not funny? My bad - ROC
- Kenny Phillips it is! I’m stoked. -Sean
- Good call Sean - I like the pick. We knew he was the target. After a crazy first round we went projection. - ROC
- Um, Donnie Avery is the first receiver off the board. Did the Rams GM fall asleep and think it was round six? - ROC
- By the way, that song they keep playing on the Nike comericals is “List of Demands” by Saul Williams. The beauty of google. - ROCÂ
- Kansas City is having one hell of a draft. -Sean
- Does anyone else have a man crush on Steve Young? I do…Give me one lefty QB to win a game…Stevie. Man can announce too. - ROC
- It looks like Shockey is staying a Giant. However, if the pick was anyone besides Porter I would be convinced of this. Now I’m not so sure they didn’t take him for the Giants. Interesting situation. -Sean
- Why do the Eagles have to take a Notre Dame player. Now I can’t root for Laws. -Sean
- I really like what Pittsburgh has done on the first day. -SeanÂ
- Eagles are having a sick draft. Hate it. Laws and DeSean. Yikes. - ROCÂ
- Aaron Rodgers…I know you hear footsteps - ROC
- Terrell Thomas in the 2nd. I like it. I have been saying Safety in the 1st and Corner in the 2nd for weeks. -Sean
- Manningham was an excellent pick at the end of round 3. Great value and a position of need. I really like what Reese has done so far. -Sean
- And now the giants trade up to get Bryan Kehl OLB from B.Y.U. I like this kid as well, but I thought for sure we traded up for Erin Henderson and I would have prefered that. -Sean
- A lot of Defensive tackles the Giants may have been targetting have gone high in this round. -Sean
- With their 5th round pick the Giants select Jonathan Goff LB from Vanderbilt. Another great value selection and a good eventual replacement for Pierce. -Sean
- I like the pick of Woodson, could end up being a very solid backup for years to come. Don’t know too much about Henderson but you can never have enough pass rushers.

neither. mcshay is spineless and kiper is an idiot.
April 26th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
I completely agree with neither
April 26th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
i think the Falcons made a terrible choice in selecting Ryan. to much pressure on him to replace and erase the Vick era. they should have gone Dorsey and taken Flacco, Henne or Brohm with their next pick.
April 26th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
The quickest way to get over Vick is to get a franchise QB, and Ryan is the most likely from this class. Sucks for Atlanta they couldn’t have a stronger QB draft class…although you never know.
April 26th, 2008 at 2:32 pm
i dislike both, but McShay is better then Kiper…
April 26th, 2008 at 2:35 pm
Saints trading with Chiefs to get Dorsey? Shockey staying a Giants?
April 26th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
and right as i type that, the Chiefs select Dorsey themselves.
April 26th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
Vernon Gholston to the Jets?
April 26th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
So there goes the Shockey deal?
April 26th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
it would appear so
April 26th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
that’s a reach by the Jaguars….
April 26th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
I agree with you Chris. The Falcons need Talent, and a bunch of it. They could have traded that 3 pick for a bunch of picks and got Flacco or another QB.
April 26th, 2008 at 3:14 pm
the Pats took Mayo………………..
April 26th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
THOSE BASTARDS!
April 26th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
crap, now we either take Connor or maybe lofton in the 2nd but i doubt he’s there when we pick in the 2nd…….this is going to be interesting…..
April 26th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
im hope we dont take connor, honestly hes not that good…
April 26th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
there is still we will trade shockey to the saints because they kept their second round pick
April 26th, 2008 at 5:14 pm
Mike Jenkins…thats a steal for the ‘Boys
April 26th, 2008 at 5:15 pm
we will NOT take Connor.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:22 pm
Here we go!
April 26th, 2008 at 5:33 pm
I prefer Johnson but I`d be okay with Phillips.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:36 pm
yesssssss we got phillips
April 26th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Not bad, I`ll take it
April 26th, 2008 at 5:39 pm
ill pick a safety from he U any day
April 26th, 2008 at 5:42 pm
ESPNews doesn’t like it but what do they know?
April 26th, 2008 at 5:43 pm
Taking into consideration the job the Giants’ scouts did last season, I’m very excited with this pick. Clearly, they saw something that made them feel that he could easily return to the elite form he was in during his sophomore season. The question now is whether or not the G-Men made the right choice taking Phillips over Johnson.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
I think the Phillips pick will be a great one two years from now. I am just concerned of the quality LB depth.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:50 pm
What lack of depth?
We have Wilkinson, Clark, Kiwi, Deossie, Pierce, and Blackburn.
I would say Blackburn is the only one not of true starting quality.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:52 pm
Saints pick coming up, will Shockey be traded? If we do get the pick how about Jackson? He would give us a great punt returner and some WR depth.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
deossie? can we really say he could be a starter? we have 4 starters…3 positions…there isn’t solid depth in the LB corp
April 26th, 2008 at 6:03 pm
i think the giants should allow Moss to return punts in the offseason. RW should be gone by then.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:03 pm
is shockey gonna be traded?
April 26th, 2008 at 6:05 pm
shockey has to be traded because he will be a problem
April 26th, 2008 at 6:09 pm
Just keep your eye on that Saints pick.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:13 pm
Giant disappointment!!! We draft a player that is slower and weaker than the real #1 SAFETY Tyrell Johnson, not to mention Kenny is an under achiever. I realize Phillips is more of a “true” FS, but we could have started #43 MJ opposite Knight and brought T.Johnson into the mix this year or next. As the replacement for the stop gap Knight. If we end up trading Shockey to N.O. we should have drafted Devon Thomas WR in first RD and used 40th pick to take T. Johnson. Let me know what u think. T. Johnson will have a better career than Phillips, unfortunately.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
i guess no trade
April 26th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
How do you know? It is extremely difficult to predict who will be better than who. I remember people hated almost all of our picks last year.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:17 pm
atleast i get to wear my shockey jersey one more year
April 26th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
I don’t know JOE. Just my opinion is all. I truly believe that Phillips will have a career similar to that of another Hurricane recently released by the GMEN William Joseph. Joseph like Kenny had all the talent in the world, but was also labeled an under achiever. I hope that I am wrong and Phillips become a cornerstone for years to come I just don’t see it.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
Well there goes Royal. Rumor had it the Giants really liked him.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:29 pm
I think our scouting has earned some respect from last year’s draft. So i have faith they saw something in him and who knows he might be another Sean Taylor, Ed Reed. Which would be insane..
April 26th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
Your worst fear NATE R. Week 17 just beacame a little more interesting with the Vikes taking Tyrell Johnson.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
I hope your right JOE. I am not jumping off the wagon man. I will be the first to glady eat my words.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:44 pm
Tyrell has a good chance starting in Week 17. Vikings will be a tough team to beat in December with a string running game, and big linemen.
Everyone happy with the Phillips pick?
You think SHockey trade rumor is dead?
April 26th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
will sweed or kelly fall to us at #32? if so, do we take one of them?
i say, DEF!
April 26th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
I think after all that has been said, Shockey almost has to be traded. BTW, there goes Trevor Laws.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:48 pm
I would love to grab a WR for some depth. Toomer won’t be here forever and I’m not enamored with Moss. I like Smith a lot, but he didn’t show a lot before the playoffs.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
well, he was mostly hurt before the playoffs…but i get your point. Sweed will be a BALLER in this league if used correctly.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
Manningham, Jackson, Kelly would all look nice in blue.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
damn, Philly grabbed Jackson.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
Here’s a thought: Connor in the second? I feel like he’s been kind of forgotten. He’d be a nice pick there in my opinion.
P.S. Eagles are looking good right now with Laws and Jackson. I’m kind of scared…
April 26th, 2008 at 6:53 pm
Connor would be nice but I’m not sure if he’ll be there when we pick or if he fits into our pass rushing system.
April 26th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
I would love to see us take Sweed. Not for nothing, Sweed did play with Ross at Texas so that helps the chemistry a bit. Just something to think about…
April 26th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
there is a chance we can get dan conner
and that would e great value at our spot
April 26th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
umm…what are the skins doing?
April 26th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
what about quentin groves i cant believe he is still out there
April 26th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
Rich.
Who do you want at 32?
April 26th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
right now before the 63 i will say dan connor
April 26th, 2008 at 7:51 pm
me too we have to pick conner here
April 26th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
we have to take him we have the need and he could have been taken in the late 1st
April 26th, 2008 at 7:56 pm
WHAT???
April 26th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
He obviously doesn’t fit the system, like Poz last year.
April 26th, 2008 at 8:03 pm
I said weeks ago the Giants wouldn’t take Connor
April 26th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
but the value at that pick was pretty good
April 26th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
I guessed right on Terrell Thomas.

Good job guys.
I think we go add a defensive tackle in the 3rd round.
April 26th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
Terrell Thomas>>>>>>>>>Dan Connor
Terrell Thomas>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kenny Phillips
April 26th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
Look at what the Jets did with Vilma. It doesn’t matter how good a player is if he doesn’t fit your system. I’m not sure I like Thomas over King though
April 26th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
One of the premier lock-down cornerbacks in college football, Thomas’ hard-hitting tackling ability and penchant for making big tackles inside the box could see him shift to free safety at the next level. When healthy, he has more than lived up to the challenge of covering the opposition’s main receiving target and has allowed just two touchdown catches over the last two seasons.

April 26th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
I found this to be interesting. Does he really project as a free safety or are the Giants thinking him opposite Ross?

April 26th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
I nailed the second pick.

April 26th, 2008 at 8:31 pm
Can we trade Shockey for Anquan Boldin or Roy Williams? Throw in a pick if we have to…
April 26th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
Hey guys! first time poster…looooong time lurker here. Being a giants fan in southern california, I wanted to say a couple of things about terrell thomas. After watching him play for the past 3 yrs at sc, I believe that this guy will be great fit for our team. He is rarely out of position, doesn’t give up the big play, and is super aggressive on the blitz and in run support. He also has a certain amount of swagger to him that alot of shut-down corners have (just ask desean jackson and his two catches in 2006).
All in all, I am excited about both Phillips and TT and can’t wait to see who else we pick up tommorow. (I’m really hoping Manningham falls to us in round three because this guy is the real deal, who cares about the silly off field stuff…this guy shows up on gameday!!!)
April 26th, 2008 at 8:36 pm
I LOVE THE 2 PICKS! Our secondary just went from a weekness to a strength of the team.Give me Beau Bell in the third and i will be thrilled with this draft
April 26th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
what are the skins thinking- now they have like 4 good wr’s and 2 good Te’s-Too bad their is only one all to go around:) They have no pass rusher and a suspect oline.Thir Db’s are old and inj prone so they go WR-TE-WR.No wonder Gibbs left
April 26th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Two very nice picks. Im very satisfied.
April 26th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Dee-
Welcome and thanks a lot for the information! It’s nice to hear someone who has watched him first hand say that he’ll do well with the team. Personally, from what I’ve seen I like him a lot and I think he’s a great guy for our system. He looks to be a really physical player who will do well with outside blitzing. The only thing that worries me are his two surgeries. Hopefully that’s behind him and he can come in and make an impact soon enough.
In regards to Manningham, I’m with you all the way. From what I hear, he’s got some serious potential and he seems like he could fit right in as a kind of x-factor in the WR corp. It would be great to get some more depth there. I can’t wait until tomorrow when the real fun starts.
April 26th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
I’m a huge Manningham fan. He’s had some off field problems and had a terrible combine which could lead to him falling right into our laps. However, he was a really late Giants interview which probably means we won’t draft him even if he does fall to us.
April 26th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Check this out about Thomas.
The Superbowl Champion New York Giants
have just upgraded their biggest needs.

Another stud!

April 26th, 2008 at 9:08 pm
Thanks Michael!
I catch a lot of flack for sc players because most of them don’t really pan out in the NFL, but i’m hoping that out of the SEVEN taken in the first two rounds, TT will be the best of them all..haha!!!
I’m glad someone agrees on manningham, and I’m also high on tavares gooden because what LB from miami has been bad…
April 27th, 2008 at 7:13 am
Dee,
fantastic post.
Along with LSU, I think USC has the two best programs in the country. Kudos to Carroll.
With their most recent picks over the years, I think it is premature to label guys busts.
Leinart, Bush, White, Lofa, etc. I think are fantastic.
If the Giants draft Manningham, I would think former Michigan alum Amani Toomer would mentor him.
Profootballtalk.com Mike Florio had a post about Manningham. Manningham was interviewed on Sirius NFL radio. He came across as immature.

Rarely have I read as much negative press about a prospect’s character and attitude as I have about Manningham. This is real “buyer beware” territory.
April 27th, 2008 at 9:08 am
I love what the Giants did on day one…they have big time upgraded the speed and play making ability in the secondary. I can’t wait to see what today brings!

April 27th, 2008 at 9:48 am
I was a bit disappointed in the Thomas pick. I really thought that was a great spot to grab Conor. I heard a lot of great things about him coming into the day, the exception being size as a knock. I’ll admit after reading the scouting report on Thomas, though, I liked what I read A LOT.
What do we have left out there for LB’s, outside or inside? I think that’s one of our biggest weak areas now with the secondary being addressed.
April 27th, 2008 at 9:49 am
Connor just went to Foxy and the Panthers in Rd 3.
April 27th, 2008 at 10:36 am
Wow - I wanted Wheeler out of GT. Colts just picked him in front of us. Great pick by the Colts!
April 27th, 2008 at 10:37 am
WE got Mario
April 27th, 2008 at 10:46 am
Manningham…interesting. I initially applauded the pick out of name recognition, but then starting reading the scouting reports. Ugh. Not pretty. These are the type of guys who held this team back for the last several years. My only hope is he has the same about face that Amani had early in his career. Many forget, but there were reports that Amani was immature his first couple of years in the league. Then, the light switch went on and he became a classy leader in the locker room, in addition to a productive player. Perhaps the combo of TC, Toomer, Eli, and most importantly a Super Bowl championship will put him in his place.
April 27th, 2008 at 10:50 am
truth, Gntsfan. If he starts messing around, I would love if the leaders of the team just sat him down, showed them the ring, and told him to play like he can play.
April 27th, 2008 at 10:52 am
That same small town stuff wont fly in NYC. He will be fine in NYC. Its not like he went to Arizona and will be smoking weed and doing beer bongs with Matt Leinart. He wont be hitting strip clubs with pacman jones and wont be going to jail as if he was going to Cincinatti.
TC will sit the sucker the down and scare the living day lights out of him. With the Media in NYC on him, he will happy to be in NYC and like others have mentioned have quite a few mentors and be a nice fit.
I like the gamble!
April 27th, 2008 at 10:54 am
Jerry Reese made the right pick here for sure. The Giants organizition will mold this guy into the next Toomer. Welcome Mr. Manningham to the big time NY football Giants!!
April 27th, 2008 at 11:18 am
Manningham was an amazing value selection
April 27th, 2008 at 11:37 am
Xavier Adibi is someone we need is a stud with alot of upside
April 27th, 2008 at 12:14 pm
Don’t forget that Bradshaw also came with some very heavy baggage and had his stock fall all the way down as a result. Reese took him aside and told him that if he pulled this crap, he’d ship him back to Marshall in an undersized UPS box. Seemed to have worked with him… maybe the same will be true of Mario. Anyway, he has to be a step up from Senorita Moss.
April 27th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
WOW - did not think we would take Mario, but that guy has SPEED.
April 27th, 2008 at 12:23 pm
Manningham has the body type and athleticism of St. Louis Rams star Torry Holt, though he’s not as developed as Holt was at this stage. He’s a top-40 prospect who should get taken in the second round.
character issues can change with a guy like coughlin running the show as well as veterans like pierce and strahan. Great pick to give the giants a solid 4 with plax, amani, smith and manningham. if only sinorice moss became anything. btw i heard kehl is very athletic speedy guy who rushes the passer very well from the lb spot.
April 27th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
the first part i got from rivals.com
April 27th, 2008 at 12:44 pm
wow Manningham at 95? what a steal-guy will be great for us for years to come! Most all boards had him as top 5 WR.There was a lot of talk of him being our pick at 31!! wish we would of traded up for Bell but i’m sure JR sees something in this kid From BYU
April 27th, 2008 at 12:46 pm
hEY fAct check whats up buddy. How dumb is new orleans for not making the shockey trade happen.
April 27th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
Steve- i agree, that is why i spend 90% of my time on Dan’s Giants 101 site
April 27th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
what happened to the draft coverage? no reports on the picks?
April 27th, 2008 at 3:32 pm
Looks like J-Load has to watch his back.
April 27th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Manning to Manningham… Touchdown! Ok sorry.
April 27th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
I know it is very early to judge our picks, but at this point I would have to give Reese a
C-. Jerry didn’t address the LT or DT positions and he failed to trade Shockey. #80 is an
UFA after this year and I don’t believe will re-sign him. I think Shock is going to have a
good yr and Rosenhouse will demand a lot. Also we will need the money to lock up Snee
and Osi. I know it’s easy to guess after the fact but going in I really liked to see us start
the draft by taking WR Devon Thomas in the first, S Tyrell Johnson in the 2nd with the
40th pk from N.O. for Shock and finish day one with OLB Tavares Gooden. This in no
way would have been a stretch. Day 2 can be summed up w/1 word. WOW?!? I was
surprised to see Super Mario fall that far. If not for this pick Reese’s grade could have
been a D. Why and what did we trade away to the Steelers to move up and take a LB?
The LB/LB picks came out of nowhere, kind of like the players we took in those spots. I
like QB Andre’ Woodson 6′41/2 225. He has a very strong arm and smooth feet in the
pocket, but he carries the ball low which makes him throw from his hip and despite his
atheletihms is not a threat to run.
April 27th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
Obviously my grade for spelling is
an F. Athleticism was grossly misspelled. Thank God the draft is over. Now I can finish
watching Akellah and the bee.
April 27th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
iSland
Shockey isn’t a UFA until 2012.
April 27th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
correct me if im wrong, but didnt shockey just finish his first year of a 5 yr extension… im pretty sure my math isnt as bad as ur english so how’s he a ufa next year??? I just don’t see how after years of loving the guy, so many fans have joined the trade-shockey-bandwagon.
April 27th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
Shocky is not going anywhwere but he will cause chemistry problems. A trade is still possible.
Draft is a solid B. Shock trade SHOULD have happened. Unless they LOVE Phillips a trade down for Morgan or Johnson would have been just as good with another pick thrown in.
April 27th, 2008 at 5:43 pm
I got alot of faith in JR. B+ grade from me.
April 27th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
Island Giantz,
You need to learn your football better. First off havent you learned not to criticize a man who took your team to the chip and won it yet? You would think Giants fans would cut Jerry some slack and realize he has the right people employed to make decisions we as fans wouldnt get immediately. What makes you think there was good value at these positions you’re referring to that we should have drafted? You act like the draft is the end to the offseason, let me break it down for you. Once the draft happens, there are several GOOD players that are typically cut to make room for these picks, not to mention a number of undrafted FA’s to select from. Jerry has a team who recruited the players they felt could help immediately, also recognizing past work and focusing to mold the players drafted in the past. he will dive into the undrafted pool as well as the pool of players cut to shore up other areas (See Madison Hedgecock).
Shockey’s contract does not expire anytime soon, he’s under contract another few years. Breathe easy man, trust your GM’s, scouts and coaches on this one, these are the same people who architected a SB team last season.

When Amani Toomer was drafted something was very underreported, mainly because 12 years ago there was not the all out media blitz uncovering every aspect of these prospects lives.
There was a lot of concern about his intelligence, etc and it took him a good few seasons until he became a threat and grasped the whole idea of being a professional. We know what happened when he “got it”
The Manningham pick could be PERFECT timing for him and the team. He has so many tools of a quality receiver and can develop professionally around some fantastic coaches who will demand excellence and players who buy into the coaches.
The info about Toomer came from a well know national football writer who is friendly with my family.
Where does this pick leave the receiver chart?
Burress
Toomer
Smith
Tyree
Manningham
Moss?? Hixon?? Jennings??

And now the giants trade up to get Bryan Kehl OLB from B.Y.U. I like this kid as well, but I thought for sure we traded up for Erin Henderson and I would have prefered that. -Sean
With their 5th round pick the Giants select Jonathan Goff LB from Vanderbilt. Another great value selection and a good eventual replacement for Pierce. -Sean
Wow… I could see you guys worked hard today to put out some stellar information on these 2nd day guys

Your An Asshole Monday Morning GM. These guys do a good job and work hard for this site and the G-Men. We are all fans here and just trying to keep each other informed about our favorite team. You dont like it then they dont need your readership.
I personally like almost all of the picks in this years draft. Much like last year, most people give an average grade for our draft picks. However, I feel that once they get on the field they will all contribute as our last draft class did. Phillips will most likely start by our by week. Thomas will be a great player in our system if he can stay healthy (I think he will because we wont make him an every down player). Our LB picks will provide a lot of depth and competition for the start of the season. Another good WR will only help our cause. Go GMEN!!!!!!!

Disappointment, why pass on Connor, drafted a Safety and Safety Project (Thomas) a QB with lousy throwing mechanics who will never play-Woodson(Eli is only 27) Manningham-good pick, two linebackers and a DE who won’t start. Last years draft we lucked out this year was disappointing, hopefully I’m wrong.

I would have preferred Connor at the end of Rd 2, but hey–there must have been something about him that the team did not like.
