Tom Brady Doesn’t Respect the Jets: Boo Hoo
The God among men doesn’t respect the New York Jets, what in the world should we all do? In an interview today with some Boston radio station Brady carried on about how much he rightfully respect the New York Giants, and how he could respect any team that is “blue-collar” and works hard like them. The interviewer then asked which team he didn’t respect, and Brady stated a certain team in green that has four letters in their name. Funny enough, Brady also went on to criticize ESPN and how they say “the craziest things.”
First off, it is unbelievable to hear Brady say anything negative about ESPN after the public fellatio they gave him and the rest of his team last year. They had their own damn section on the bottom line for crying out loud. Brady has received nothing but the highest praise and pampering from everybody on the ESPN network. His team might as well be paying their bills with the amount of positive press they received last year, and how nobody in the ESPN newsroom could muster up anybody explainable reason why Brady was pummeled into the turf and his team lost the Super Bowl.
Honestly, has anybody on that network said anything about the Patriots choking away their perfect season? How about the year before when they choked away a three possession lead in the AFC Championship game? What about the year before that when Brady threw a choke job interception in the end-zone to Champ Bailey and cost his team the game in the divisional round? No of course not, that is why it is finally refreshing to hear them get called out for cheating by some personalities on the network. If poor Tom Brady can’t handle hearing that his team knowingly did something illegal by taping other team’s signals, then he should just flip the channel or maybe go watch the game tape of why his “prolific” offense was only able to score 14 points in the Super Bowl.
So, how come Brady specifically mentioned the Jets as the only in the league he doesn’t respect? Is he angry that Eric Mangini blew the whistle on his team cheating? What he supposed to do, allow his divisional rival to continue stealing signals? And please, don’t respond that Mangini is a hypocrite because he was on Bellicheck’s staff from 2000-2005. Was a thirty-something year defensive backs coach supposed to tell the mighty Bill Bellicheck how to do his job and tell him his cheating was immoral? The guy has a family to feed and a career to keep in mind, he obviously isn’t going to tell the head guy of the league’s most successful team off.
Maybe Brady doesn’t respect the Jets because they were the only team to prevent him from throwing a touchdown pass in a game last year. The 14/27, 140 yards, and 1 INT performance was the only stain on his season, except of course for his team choking in the Super Bowl. There was also the year before that when the Jets battered Brady on his own turf and beat his Patriots 17-14. So how come no respect from Tom? Does he really feel the need to pick on the 4-12 team in his division? Is he worried that Mangini is going to study the Super Bowl tape and that he is going to have a #56 and #97 imprinted on his back next season when they play the Jets?
The Patriots started out the year of the choke for Boston. I expect the Celtics to lose to the Cavs, despite having the NBA’s best record and I expect the Red Sox to fall short in the playoffs this season.

I do not see any quotes in your argument of what Tom Brady said - nor a link to the actual broadcast or transcript….
ESPN has been one of worst in covering the Patriots with a hate (spygate) - love (18 and doh! season) and hating them again with Matt Walsh.
ESPN has been terrible (woop!) for a long time. They are more interested in hearing their own opinions rather then reporting facts… they are just angry old sports players or guys that never played professionally that wish they had talent to play. Plus Bristol, CT is not near any real sports teams. It is a long ass drive to NY to catch a game.
Although the NY Gaints and NY Rangers have had a good run in 08 where are the Jets and Knicks?
You may have some possiblities between the Mets and Yanks, but doesn’t mean everyone in NY will be happy with a NY win.
The Red Sox not repeating will be like the NY Giants not repeating….
My bet is the Giants will still have a better 08 then the Jets, but will not do as well as the Pattiots.

ESPN covers the patriots with hate? Give me a break….ESPN has nothing less then a hard on for the Pats and always have since Brady took over in 2001. Its almost as sickening as their love affair with Tony Romo and America team. If you believe in Karma in the slightest, you can see what is coming. I can only sit back with my popcorn and beer and enjoy the sh*tstorm that is about to fall on BB and the Pats.
As for brady, I could care less if he hates the Jets. Thats comment is going to be pinned up in their locker room all season. Brady will definitely pay for his arrogance. Something interesting to watch would be the usage of headsets in the defensive players helmets, which completely thwarts the concept of spygate. If the Pats struggle this season, you can thrown out Spector’s investigation, the proof will be in the pudding. No defensive signals, no success.

better to be a Rat outing a cheater, then to be the cheater outted by a rat. I’d be defensive too if I were a Pats fan. Its not a good time to be one..

TJ - your logic is flawed. The Patriots went 18 and doh! in 2007 without defensive signals. Do your homework - 2008 will not prove anything but show how bad Mangini really is on his own.

Sounds like Joe C. is full of sour grapes among aother things. I’d suggest getting a girlfriend to keep your mind occupied.

I have to say that if the Pats coach was not such a down right jerk, maybe the Pats would not be getting so much heat for spygate. In the end it is him that everyone is after. He is the one that took head coach money and then bailed on the Jets after accepting the head coach position. He is the one that is ALWAYS a sore loser.
Tom Brady: The best QB today and maybe even ever. A good looking guy but he is as dumb as a brick.
Yes, the Pats are a great team and their success is legit but between their coaches attitude, running up the score, dirty play, and now spygate, people are sick of them.

So did you happen to see the Hashmarks Blog yesterday where Specter (who claims Walsh is a very credible witness) stated that Walsh stated the Jets were also in the business of spying on signals just like the Pats? Funny how nobody has picked up on that…..then again I guess it just goes to show that stealing signals doesn’t matter if you have a terrible team like the Jets.

Johnny - I got a girl, so Im aight there but maybe you should take your own advice since you are spending your time on a message board on a Jets board, when you clearly aren’t a fan.
I expect Pats fans to be defensive, their coach is the most hated guy in the sport, for doing things like running off the field before the game was over in the super bowl because he couldn’t face that he was out-coached by Coughlin…by the way i think tuck just planted brady in the turf again, who did you guys sign this year to help your offensive line?
May 16th, 2008 at 10:02 am
I, for one, respect mangini for ratting out the Pats. They deserved it, they cheated and they paid the price. I also think Tom Brady is going to pay for being stupid and arrogant, and that the entire Pats team is going to pay for it.
Go Cowboys…it’s only a matter of time until Romo doesn’t choke!
May 17th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
I like my Cowboys all oiled up, as we at HABS INSIDE/OUT have pics of Romo and the team in jock straps andoily. Mmmm good.

The Patriots may be one of the best teams in the nfl but they cheat and cheat and they will pay for it. hey maybe if bellicheat just mans up and admits cheating more people will respect him
