Update on Troy Brown
There is finally a bit of news coming out on Patriot Nation’s favorite receiver Troy Brown.
According to news reports from the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald, Troy Brown has undergone surgery to repair tendons in his knee.
Currently an unrestricted free agent, Brown has played his entire 14-year career with the Patriots becoming the all-time receiving leader with 577 catches.
The news of Brown’s surgery leads to an understanding as to why he has not been in the news having met with other teams or being in contract negotiations.
Although the Patriots have brought in some high level talent at the wide receiver position this offseason, Brown has been a consistent target of Tom Brady and is well known by Patriot Nation as Mr. Reliable.
If all goes well and Brown fully recovers from the surgery it will be interesting to see which other teams have interest and if Bill and Scott believe Brown can still deliver.
I hope Troy Brown fully recovers and ends his playing days in New England as a Patriot after they win Super Bowl XLII!
