Random Thoughts from the Dark Side on Super Bowl XLII

As a Raider fan, it was awesome to see the New England Patriots go down in flames. The New York Giants came to play, and accomplished what virtually no one thought could be done. They beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl. Michael Strahan and Osi Umenyiora kept the pressure on Brady and he could not utilize Randy Moss and Wes Welker. Meanwhile, Eli (The other) Manning had a sterling game. This is not as good as an Oakland Raider Super Bowl win, but it was a great day.

* You have to wonder if Bill Bellicheck watched the wrong film.

* How fitting is it that Justin TUCK played a key role in bringing down the Patsies?

* How long until the Raiders get back to the Super Bowl?

* 18-1 has a real sting when that one is the Super Bowl.

* Maybe now the media will shut up for a minute or three about the greatness of the Patriots.

* Maybe not.

* This has to be one of the biggest upsets ever.

* Now the debate begins, who is better Eli or Peyton? Peyton by a long shot.

* Time to once again focus on what is going on in Raider-Land.

* Ray Guy got jobbed. But then the same can be said for Cliff Branch and Kenny Stabler year after year.

* Congratulations to the New York Giants.

* The Raiders only play one Super Bowl team next year instead of both as it has been.

* Patriots at Oakland, you think Moss is going to get booed?

I've said it before, I'll say it again: karma is one bad mother.

That was a thing of beauty.

Justice was indeed served.

The only thing that would please me more would be watching us shut down Randy "Quiter" Moss and beat the crap out of the Pats next season. JM throwing for 3 yards and 2 or 3 scores and M. Bush with 100+ and 2 or 3 of his own. Now that would be about the only thing that could make me happier right now.
