Raider Nation: Meet Darren McFadden

Darren McFadden visited the Oakland Raiders today. Much of the talk on message boards, mock drafts, and with talking heads is that Al Davis covets the former Arkansas running back and is likely to take him in the 2008 NFL Draft. Here are a couple of videos that may give you insight into who Mr. McFadden is.

Darren McFadden showing off his tats. Thanks to Kirk for emailing this video to the Dark Side. Since he took the time to let us know about it, we thought it we should at least bring it to Raider Nation. So now, you can have a glimpse of the guy that the Raiders interviewed yesterday. We also found the following video of his visit to The Best Damn Sports Show and have added that as well.

McFadden makes his case on FSN.Here is also a look at DMC discussing being the cover player for EA Sports NCAA 2009 College Football game.

Lucky guy. Who wouldn't want to be the cover for a video game?Since pictures are worth a thousand words, we'll stop here and let you guys tell us what you think.

It definately says something OakFo. It says that he is the guy that AD wants everyone to think he will be taking. What you said makes no sense. Not even "reading between the lines". You reach far beyond reality as usual. You can't even twist this one to try and prove your own point. You know that "point" that doesn't exist.

Draft for NEED...with no picks in rounds 2-3 drafting DMC would be a stupid move IMO...

Many including myself do not think McFadden should be our 1st pick as we have bigger needs elsewhere. However, I do think it would be exciting to have him and believe that he would add an extra element to our offense. I would not be disappointed that's for sure.

we will darft him..and then trade a few players to give us picks in round 2 ansd 3....so it makes sense to take him unless C.Long is still on the board,it will be impossible for Al to pass on him...

I think the best decision would be one of the D Line studs but I also think it's very likely we get McFadden. If he does I will welcome him with open arms to the nation. He is a bonafied big play guy

This visit is for publicity for trade down partners. This article sums up why Dmac is here:

Dorsey, C.Long, McFadden, Ellis, trade down are all viable options that can not go wrong unless Al makes poor decisions on picks in a trade down.

LDizzle,

The article you cite starts like this.....

"Call it lying, call it smoke screening, call it whatever you want, but at this time of year coaches and personnel officials simply should not be trusted. There is no shortage of information leaks regarding the plans teams are making, but the trick is navigating the leaked information properly."

So I thank you for citing this article as it clearly reinforces my view that Kiff was throwing up a smoke screen and misdirection when discussing the Draft in his recent interview.

I do believe that the Raiders are doing their due diligence as many prospects will be brought in for workouts, but it says something that Run DMC is the 1st to be brought in. Now thats what I call reading between the lines!!

The Raiders Biggest Need is TDs, thus.....

Al's Mandate is McFadden!!

LDizzle,

We will see now won't we? When Run DMC is taken, it's my bet you will tuck tail and retreat rather than admit your mistake. Again, we will see, and I can't wait!

Picking D Mac would be, to me, like taking Reggie Bush as the saints did.... exciting play maker but not so much a big impact everyone thought he would be so far... but its not always about that, certain players bring a swagger with them and D Mac has it... his attitude on the field is what the Raiders need... point blank he WILL make a difference....

17 days and a few hours until the draft. With the 4th pick, the Oakland Raiders select....................I have been dreading the thought of DMC being the pick. I wanted to hear a D-lineman called. Something about a run defense that did its best impersonation of a turnstile was leading me down a dark path of not wanting "potentially" the best player in this years draft. Then I began to remember just how much time the D spent on the field the last two years. If they can't catch their breath, they sure as hell aren't stopping LT.

If they take DMC they have to purge more then Jordan and Rhodes. They have way to many RB's on the roster. Jordan will be a June 1st casuality. Thats one. Maybe Rhodes nets a 3rd round pick. But who else would they drop or trade? Fargas? Maybe, but I doubt it. I don't see Bush being mentioned in any trade talks.
