As expected, Oakland Raiders don't let Jordan practice
Jerry McDonald is reporting that Lamont Jordan was not allowed to practice today at the beginning of the Oakland Raiders mandatory mini camp. Really, it's no surprise that he wasn't allowed to practice since getting injured would put the Raiders on the hook for his contract that he's currently in. The only other player absent from mini camp was Nnamdi Asomugha who is still waiting on either a long term contract and has yet to sign the exclusive franchise tag tender given by the Raiders. Players of note that were unable to practice due to injury were Ronald Curry, Tommy Kelly, Jarrod Cooper, and Jake Grove.
In other news, still no word on the Odell Thurman saga. As of now it stands as a rumor. Besides CNNSI and ESPN reporting on CNNSI, there hasn't been another national report on the story. When we find something out, we'll let you know.
Just an update from TFDS

No surprise on Jordan. This further proves he is done as a Raider. I am sure that once he signs elsewhere he will have plenty to say.

i've heard the man has already tried getting into other franchises and no one wants him, i say it was a good ride while it lasted, but its time to hang up the jersey.

i think we've all known jordan was outta there since last year when he didn't even get to suit up at the end of the season to let some special teams players take his spot... if al gets uncapped years like it looks right now then he will lock up nnamdi and damn we'll have a good future ahead of us but we ABSOLUTELY cannon lose him he is much more dependable than d hall... i have a lot of faith in russell and have supported him even before his name was called to don the prestigous silver and black (he will get it together by the season he's a baller)... i read ur guys' articles all the time and think u guys are definitely true to the family... i know nothing but the raider nation as my team... i would like to extend my respect to all those who support al davis and our team... remember without al davis the raiders would be the 49ers(all gay and junk). he has definitely had his great moments(3 superbowls), and his horrible moments(i.e. the last 5 years in general) but i have never been so excited for not only this year but the next few years if we can keep this roster intact... i know they've proven nothing and we could have yet another losing season, but to me we've been knocked out for way to long and gotta wake up from the jon gruden superbowl coma sometime. hopefully sooner than later

Not 'breaking news' considering the stable of RB we have.
This also tells me that Bush is 'ready to go'
I'M IN

I was the number one opponent of drafting Mcfadden as I was litterally unable to sleep contemplating the possibility of C Long or Dorsey as Raiders. With the way Mcfadden is exciting everyone maybe Al was right. Time will tell

Jordan was 2nd in the NFL when he got hurt you would think the begals or the browns or bears or someother b team would want Jordan as at least a 2nd back . This guy is holding up @! from signing his long term deal and at best we will get a 6th round pick for him?
