Oakland Raiders BREAKING NEWS!
It's being reported by FOX 5 Las Vegas that Javon Walker was found on East Flamingo Road and Koval Lane this morning unconscious. He was taken to Sunrise Medical Center's trauma unit and listed in fair condition.
The main problem for the Raiders is that he has an orbital fracture and this could be a serious injury. Kirby Puckett, the great Minnesota Twin outfielder had his career ended by an orbital fracture in the early 90's due to double vision. Besides his legs and his brain, Javon Walker's eyes are very important if he plans on being an NFL receiver.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Walker was last seen dousing patrons of the club Tryst with 15 bottles of Dom Perignon. Tryst is located at the Wynn casino.
Walker, the former Bronco who was in the back of the SUV that Darrent Williams was shot and killed in was thought to have been an innocent bystander in the incident. Over this summer, rumors have leaked out that the entire scuffle had been started by former teammate Brandon Marshall of McDonald's bag-slip fame.
Is it possible that Javon Walker isn't as innocent as once thought? Incidents like this don't happen to you on more than one occasion unless you're out looking for trouble, but we'll have to wait to find out what really happened. As details come forward, we'll keep you posted. It's my opinion that this is destined for an unhappy ending.

Damn! Thats truly sucks but hopefully Walkers healthy and can come back to Oakland... And Run DMC there are more important things than just football and dont say stupid shit like a rival teams fan would do crap like this... Hopefully Walker will be fine back in time and will stay out of trouble...
Hey Rob or Patrick what would happen if he cant come back and play for the Raiders? What would Al do about his signing bonus and the money that was already paid to him? Would he have to return it?

pat T - It's really hard to say what he'd do. I guess it would depend on the contract and the injury. If Walker's injury is serious, it wouldn't surprise me if Davis got out of the contract...in fact I'd probably expect that from most owners. I think that HOW this happened would play a deciding role in any decision.
If Walker is truly out for an extended period, the Raiders will have to scramble for another veteran receiver...unless they are confident in the young group they've assembled. There really is no replacing Walker's talent at this point though, so the Raiders would be in a heap of trouble if this becomes a serious issue.

All College and NFL teams need to stay away from these party bad guys. If Walker turns out to be a bust for the Raiders, for what ever reason, the Raiders will again be the laughing stock of the leauge. Many, many questioned Al Davis for spending so much money on Walker. When will the Raiders get it right!!
Answer: When AL is gone.

The guy that posted before me is absolutely right. College and Pro football need to start cleaning things up. When all you need is a 1.8 GPA (SEC) to be eligible to play you will get way too many thugs. I no longer watch college football and strictly limit myself to watching the Raiders (only because I have followed them for 40 years).
Sick of it!!!!

I had heard he was jumped, beaten and robbed.
Obviously in the wrong place.
No right time to be there.
But in this case it appears he's a victim.
I don't think you can get money back from something that wasn't caused by the player, except for the fact he was walking where he was walking.
Whatever is guaranteed is what I believe he will get, regardless...IF it's true he was attacked.

Well theres no way that you can keep a guy out of the NFL if he likes to party, if he doesnt have any sort of previous record...Which im not sure if Walker has one but i dont think so... thug because he got jumped, even though he needs to avoid places where he's not liked or places where he is at risk of being jumped or mugged... I hope its nothing to serious and he can recover from his injury before training camp... And Geoff if there were about 10 teams seeking Javon's services i think his knee was ok! hahaha stupid Geoff... Good luck Javon Walker!
GO RAIDERS!!!

Al's no Idiot (poular beliefs aside), with his history I promise you al put a "pacman" clause in the contract. even so this is a sad sad day for the raiders, orbital fractures are nothing to mess with, he probably won't be able to see out of the eye and if he can it will prob be double vision, hopefully it's not that serious but that is a very hard fracture to get and not easy to avoid serious long term effects. you very rarely hear of someone not having issues after this kind of problem.

Even if Javon was hanging out in less than reputable places (again), you really have to feel for the guy a bit now that he's experienced two traumatic events in a span of 18 months. Obviously, I hope he can recover both physically and mentally, and I'm sure the rest of Broncos County feels the same even if he did leave Denver on less than perfect terms.

An unfortunate incident, to say the least.
Sorry to hear about this, Raider fans.

Well fudd. I hope Javon's going to be alright, but if that medical dictionary entry I just read is correct, well fudd. Hey, here's to the Drew Carter era,

I wouldn't go that far. I've heard little other than gloating and generally childish baiting from Broncos fan in the wake of this incident.
Here's a good rule of thumb: If one is looking for a mature, intelligent or otherwise adult response on almost any subject, the last place one should look is "Bronco Country".

You can call him stupid Al Davis but I wouldn't be surprised to find out there's a clause in there to protect the Raiders like said above. Now, if there isn't a clause then the stupid name applies!
Let's find a real receiver now!
I hope Walker is ok no doubt but it seemed like a stick it to the Broncos deal from the beginning.

DevDuck: That's complete nonsense and you know better. You'd like to believe that Bronco fans are ruthlessly idiotic, but here I am, a true Bronco fan reading a Raider website to find out more about Javon's situation- only because I'm sincerely concerned. I'm just glad some of your fellow Raider Nation boys disagree with you.

Thanks to the Bronco fans who stopped by to check on Javon.
When something like this or Darrent's tragedy happen, its time to rise above football.

Hey BroncosFan
Thanks for showing class Broncosfan. This is a incident completely aside from the NFL and rivalry's, which should always be in good fun. In my family I have Steelers and Whiner fans. I hate the teams but doesn't change that they are my brothers and family. Times like this the Team should not matter, we should all be rooting for Walkers' or any other players well being.

I appreciate your concern and, one assumes, well wishes on behalf of a Raider player. However, I regret to report, your protestations to the contrary, that you are the exception, not the rule, amongst the Bronco fan base.
I can easily provide a half dozen links to internet message boards rife with all manner of inappropriate and disgusting commentary from Bronco fans regarding the Javon Walker assault, if you are skeptical of the above.

Dev- there are jerks in any group of people, I remember some Raider fans talking trash about Williams after he was murdered. It really sucks when any fan uses a tragedy to talk smack, regardless of their affiliation.

On behalf of Rob, I would like to sincerely thank all fans from other teams who have shown their support for Walker and the Raider Nation.

When i'm at a club, I am not looking to be sprayed with champagne. Celebrities and star athletes seem to feel that the rules don't apply to them. In light of what happened to Jevon Walker, they might want to think twice about acting stupid in unfamiliar surroundings. If Jevon pulled that shit in Oakland,he'd still get beat down..............act right!
