Former Oakland Raiders News: Lamont Jordan a Patriot

Just a little breaking news to keep things lively.  Jordan signed with the New England Patriots today, but the terms of the deal were not announced.  Raider fans may want to remember that Jordan will have his homecoming and hopefully his comeuppance, Sunday December 14th when the Patriots come to town.

As with Randy Moss, the Raider Nation was glad to see Jordan leave town, but some may not like that he's now a Patriot.  Along with the AFC West teams, Dallas, and Detroit, the Raiders and Patriots organizations seem to have close affiliations of former players, coaches, or front office personell.  Mainly it's all due to the fact that Al Davis likes the show runners in Dallas, Detroit, and New England and hates the AFC West.

Look for Miami to develop some close ties too since Parcells and Davis are great friends.  If Jordan pulls a Randy Moss type year out of his you know what, I'm sure that Parcells won't be too happy that Davis wasn't able to trade the oft-injured, oft-criticized former starting tailback.

Pull out the pen Raider Nation, and add a second circle around the Patriots game on your calender.  You now have another reason as to why that might be the most explosive home game of the season.

* Otis re-signed over Keller

The Raiders have listed Otis being signed on their transaction page today.  With all of the hype surrounding Keller, it's a bit surprising that Otis got the nod for the final spot on the roster.  Anything can still happen causing Keller to come back, but for right now Otis is going to be the fourth string QB, or otherwise called a 'camp arm.'

How soon will we hear Jordan's "Thank God I'm out of Oakland" interview? Especially since he plays for ESPN's favorite team now?

I say he's a Sunday Conversation next week - along with 2-3 profiles before opening day because "the Worldwide Leader" can't help but slob the knob of Bob Kraft's team.

Ryan - How right you are. Glad that I've been able to abstain from watching BSPN recently. Once things really start going, I don't know if I'll be able to maintain that relationship that I'm currently enjoying. Whatever happened to Fox Sports or CNN Sports Illustrated? Oh well....

If Jordan pulls off a Randy Moss year, I might go bald from pulling off all my hair in utter disbelief. I just can't help but feel that everyone we let go will talk $hit about the team and then have a stellar year. Hopefully he'll trip over Moss in practice and they both get injured. Haha, that'll fix all the injustices that have happened to us.

Ryan you have never hit the nail so squarely on the head. It is nice to see that we are not the only ones who realize that YESPN (Yankees Entertainment Sports Patriots Network) is so clearly bias towards some teams and against others.

LaMont is a running back with back problems about to hit 30. He is a warm butt on the bench in NE. Keep him.

Why sign Jeff Otis with Eric Parker out there?

SpokaneOakfan good point. Eric Parker would be a nice addition and he would fit in seamlessly. Or Terry Glenn for that matter. Unfortunately though, Every camp needs at least 4 QBs. That goes without saying. I guess we need to drop someone else.

I like our WRs. We need to bring in Rod Colman NG, Takeo Spikes SLB, Jordan Black OT, and Fred Miller OT. That would make camp more interesting.

who cares about lamont, he gets arm tackled and falls backwards. anyways the pats use wes welker as their running game, which means lamont is strictly veteren help.
