Oakland Raiders: Gameday preparation begins
Miller is poised to have a big year, if the Raiders can protect the QB
By all accounts, the practice on Tuesday was light and done in soft pads. Many of the starters played cheerleader as they sat on the sidelines giving those practicing funny words of discouragement. For those of you that don't live within a 100 mile radius of Oakland, be thankful. The game has been officially labeled a blackout game since it didn't sell out meaning anyone within that radius will wait until 10pm for television.
This is one blackout that 49ers fans can't use against the Raider Nation when throwing around smack. Nobody kept them from buying tickets to the game and it is, location wise, just as much a home game for them too. I guess there aren't enough people in the 'Emp Wimp-ire' with the guts or passion to follow their team across the bay.
The starters for the game were released today, and here is the list:

That sux that the game will not be aired live locally. but when does a preseason game ever sell out anyways?? I guess I know what i'll be doing at 10pm.

Hey I live in Reno, Nv so I'm only about a 3-4 hour drive from the East Bay. The game will be starting here at 7pm. My door is always open to a Raider Fan.

uhh im not happy i didnt see sands on the starting depth or on the injured list so is terdell just being out played or did u guys accidently forget to put him on the injured list for his knee.
Well i dont care if the game starts at ten at night or 3a.m. ill still make a lot noise for the raiders preaseason or not

The simple fact is that anyone living in the Bay could easily make the game and the fact that it's two local rivals playing is even more reason for fans to show up. You ignorantly think that the Niners don't get proceeds from the game...good one! BTW - it doesn't all go to Al. Yeah, it's (the game) meaningless, and it is not worth the price, but it's still a good time.
Furthermore, your disrespect continues to speak volumes about who and what you are as a person. I'm just curious as to whether or not this practice beforehand will lead to a lower scoring game (familiarity) or a higher scoring game (um, familiarity) when they play "for real".
Did anyone who saw the practice get a sense that the offenses or the defenses were dominating?

Wow....... That was some harsh going on back and forth. I don't know why some of these people enjoy to blog in a place that they don't like to be at. Rob & Patrick.....
