It is Time, and the Time is Now
In case you needed any other reason to get fired up for this game I have brought you one. Other than the occasional “What Others are Saying” I usually think it is lazy writing to just cut and paste and I try to stay away from it. But, But, But, But, this time I will combine both and cut and paste this for you. In the “What others are saying about the Ravens” blog by Baltimore Sun blogger Sheil Kapadia, he copies from an article from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette talks about the Ravens in a Q&A with readers. When asked about Willie Parker’s past struggles against the Ravens, here’s what he said:
Then it’s about time they get Willie Parker going against the Ravens. Their defense is way overrated and not as good as they were 3-4 years ago.
Bouchette was also asked if the Steelers have anything to worry about from the Ravens’ offense:
Not a lot, except that I ‘ve seen Steve McNair do some incredible things at QB and just because he has not done them yet this season does not mean he can’t do it for a game against the Steelers.
Defense overated, and offense not a lot to worry about?Let me say that again Ray Lewis, Defense overated, and offense not alot to worry about!!!!! Yes, our Baltimore Ravens have had issues this season. Yes, our defense has had issues this season, especially in the secondary. In my opinion the secondary problems have just been exposed due to a lack of effective pressure on the QB. That will change Monday. This is virtually the same team that beat the Steelers 58-7 last year (collectively) in two games. Gone are Mulitalo, A.D. and Jamal. Other than that basically the same team.
Monday night the rejuvenated Ravens will be back to a four pronged blitz with Pryce, Suggs, Lewis, and Bart Scott. Add to that the other blitzers from all angles and all positions, and this will be the rebirth of the Raven’s defense, re-estblishing themselves as the premier defensive unit in the NFL.
Big Ben probably doesn’t think this defense is over rated. His “let me ride my motorcycle like an idiot without a helmet” self remembers the hit(s) he had last year from virtually the SAME DEFENSE. Ask him what hurt worse, the motorcycle wreck, or the Bart Scott steamroll over his big country self. I can tell you he hasn’t forgot. In his conference call with Baltimore reporters, the reporters tried to get him in the word game, but Ben knew better…..when asked about the Ravens’ defense being less intimidating than it once was: “Well, I know you guys are going to try to get me to say something, but I’m a little smarter than that….Their defense is unbelievable….You can go right down the list and every guy is a threat, every guy is someone that you need to keep your eye on.” He went on to say their is no other defense in the league like that.
On Monday night the Ravens WILL step it up on the National stage and regain the respect that they have seemed to lose around the league. They will be healthier than they have all season. They will be more prepared than they have all season. They will be more fired up than they have been all season.
It is time and the time is now. I feel it!!! Do you feel it? This team is about to go on one of those runs that make history. Steelers, Chargers, Patriots, Colts, and Steelers again. All wins. That is my prediction. They will finish this season 12-4. They WILL win the division. They will go to the playoffs. My Nostradamus moment will end there for now. Call it water logged from the whole sump pump issue this past weekend, call it a crack addiction, call it whatever. This team WILL shut the so called experts up in the next several months. I have no doubt.
IT IS TIME AND THE TIME IS NOW!!!!!!

Damn Skipppy!!!!! Smart man Mr. Ben! Hey Dr. Z, are you just a LITTLE pumped up for this game or what?!
The article you wrote yesterday, had me digging through my closet for everything and anything purple!! Yes I sported my Sunday Football Best to work tonite… (My boss, is a Steelers fan!) Kind of grouchy the first hour… but didn’t speak a word of football at all to me.. and trust me I looked like I was headed to the stadium! Like Ben…playing it very safe. Last night I spent hours trying to find the perfect picture to download to my MySpace page… and of course… it was Bart running over Ben in last seasons December game against the Steelers! Check it out! I wish it was Monday night right now!!! I got my football music ready to play, and EVERY BIT OF CONFIDENCE YOU DO IN THIS SEASON.!!!!
OUR DEFENSE IS OVER RATED? Who did the Steelers lose against this year? That is what I thought!
Am I the only one that wishes football was every single day?
Got to go listen to Hank Williams Jr. at least twice before I go to sleep!!!
“ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL..? ARE YOU READY TO PAAAAARRTTTAAYYYY?!
Again… Bravo on the column and thanks for the updates from … who was it again oh yeah IDIOTS!

We’ll get them, we’ll win.
Knowing out boyz it won’t be easy - but it’ll be a W nonetheless.
But I still don’t expect any love from the media. But I don;t care much about that anyway…
Go Baltimore!!!

I went and checked out the Gazette Q&A Ed Bouchette sounds to me like an ego infated idiot, trying to sound knowledgable he is annoying. I always give respect where respect is due… NOT THIS TIME!
AS ALWAYS
