Indy vs Ravens, at the half
It is half time and anyone tuning it to see a repeat of last Monday nights fabulous game against New England has to be greatly disappointed. It only took Indianapolis 3:41 to go ahead 7 - 0 and it has only went from bad to worse from there. The only bright part in this game thus far has been Yamon Figurs’ 94 kick return for a TD. Indianapolis leads 37 - 7.
First half stats:
Boller 5/8, 17 yards, 2 Int
McGahee 7 carries, 23 yards, 1 fumble lost
57 yards total offense
Manning 12/16, 209 yards, 3 TDs
Addai 12 carries, 30 yards, 2 TDs
255 yards total offense
After Monday’s great game, I have to admit I was hoping for a repeat performance. I held out hope that the Ravens would feel like they had a score to settle after last years playoff loss. Coming into a game against another passing offense, missing both starting cornerbacks is not the formula to get that revenge. Maybe they left their heart souls on the field on Monday. Maybe for that one day, they too believed in “Any Given Monday”. Whatever happened, this week the team we call ours is not the same team that played New England. Whatever they had on the field against the Patriots, they left there, on the field of battle.

My prediction of an early 14-0 lead for the Ravens is a complete joke now; at least I got the special teams big play with the Figurs TD return…..
