Breaking News: Devin Thomas Injured
FOX-5 TV (DC) is reporting the Washington Redskins rookie wide receiver Devin Thomas was injured at training camp. He was filmed being removed from the field on a cart.
Jason LaCanfora at Redskins Insider says Thomas suffered a pulled hamstring. While the extent of the injury isn’t known, the team hopes Thomas will not be out long.
Thomas was the first player selected by the Redskins in this year’s draft.
EVENING UPDATE: The Associated Press reports that Devin Thomas will miss two weeks of training camp as the result of the hamstring injury suffered this morning during passing drills.
“I was running a route, and the ball’s in the air, and I felt something just grab at me,” Thomas said. “It kind of locked up on me, just like a cramp, and I couldn’t put any pressure on it.”
