Primetime Games Announced
NFL.com has the scoop on Week One’s primetime games. All are fairly intriguing, and overall, I like the schedule released so far. Here are the games:
Thursday, September 4th(7 eastern)- Redskins at Giants
Sunday, September 7th(8:15 eastern)- Bears at Colts
Monday, September 8th(7 eastern)- Vikings at Packers
Monday, September 8th(10:15 eastern)- Broncos at Raiders
The first match-up of the 2008 season should be a great one. We’ll get the see how the Giants respond to all their success and if they’ve gotten a little better. It’ll also be interesting to see the Redskins, under their new coach, Jim Zorn.
The Sunday night game will also be fun to watch, as the Colts open up their new stadium, the Lucas Oil Dome. It’ll probably be a blowout, but since I’m a Bears hater, that’s cool.
For the first Monday Night game, we’ll get the change to see Aaron Rodgers make his first start after Brett Farve retired. How he handles the pressure, which there’ll be in his first start in primetime at Lambeau Field, will be something to watch for.
The Raiders will be a team to watch, as we can see how their new additions make them better and how JaMarcus Russell has progressed.
All in all, these look like some good games to be singled out. Its way too early to be anticipating them or even discussing them, which I did a little here, but the offseason can get kind of boring.
