Marvin Harrison in Colts camp

Marvelous Marvin Harrison worked out on the opening morning of the Indianapolis Colts training camp in Terre Haute. That’s a boost for the AFC powerhouse whose biggest names are on the injury list.

QB Peyton Manning, S Bob Sanders and DE Dwight Freeney will miss a good part of camp, though all are expected to be available when the regular season opens. Along with Harrison, that’s 21 Pro Bowl appearances by the playmakers who helped make the Colts the only consistent challengers to the New England Patriots for AFC dominance.

Harrison injured his knee early last season and appeared in five games. He participated in the the playoff game against the San Diego Chargers, a shocking home loss. Harrison was expected at training camp following knee surgery in January.
