Mendenhall, Sweed signed, team harmony ensues
All is well in Pittsburgh, days before the team reports to Saint Vincent College, as the team has signed first-round pick Rashard Mendenhall and second-round choice Limas Sweed.
Mendenhall’s contract is good for five years at $12.55 million, with $6.83 million in guarantees. Sweed signed for four years, but financial terms for the contract are not yet available.
The signings wrapped up all draft-choice contracts and leaves the team without a known threat of a holdout by any rookies or veterans.
