Jared Allen Visiting Minnesota
The Kansas Chity Chiefs Jared Allen apparently informed Foxsports.com that he is flying to Minnesota to visit the Vikings this weekend. Word is that the Chiefs are in trade talks with Minnesota and Tampa Bay.
Allen is the Chiefs’ franchise player, and they will most likely want
more than a single-first round choice for him.
I can’t deny that this is extremely exciting news. Especially when considering the challenges the Vikings are going to face obtaining a quality pass-rusher in the first round. I can only hope that Spielman and company are able to put together a reasonable offer package to bring Allen up here

Ugh. Kansas City has about four good players. Now they are considering trading Allen? Even getting a 1st and 2nd round pick would not be worth it, especially considering their history with draft picks. If you get him, enjoy it Minny fans.

Three pro-bowlers lining up side by side? Yeah, we’ll enjoy that.

… Yeah. The chiefs are going to want two first rounders for compensation. Even though I am glad to hear we’re going after Jared Allen I am kinda shocked due to the fact we do not go after guys with character flaws and multiple DUI convections. If we kept guys who had DUI’s we would still have Koren Robinson and Dwight Smith. Hell, we should go and get Pacman… I’m playing I can’t compare Pacman to Jared Allen. Nonetheless, I am glad to hear we’re doing it, he will be the Stud DE we’ve always wanted and he can play the run as well as the pass. Jared Allen will fit in quite well in minnesota with all the high speed chases from the police. Jkjk. I hope he comes ready to play.

The Chiefs would never get two first-round choices for Allen. They are most likely looking for a first and a third or a first and a second.
