Ducks Acquire Lindstrom; Sign MacMillan
The Ducks continue to make off-season moves. Today they acquired left wing Joakim Lindstrom from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Lindstrom, 24, split time between the Blue Jackets and Syracuse, their minor league affiliate. The Swedish winger scored 3 goals and 4 assists in 25 games with Columbus last season.
The Ducks also signed their top 2007 draft pick, Logan MacMillan, to a three-year entry level contract. MacMillan, 19, has played for the past three years with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL (Jean-Sebastien Giguere’s former team). MacMillan is a defensive minded center and son of former NHLer, Bob MacMillan. MacMillan most recently participated in the prospects camp at the beginning of July.
