Malone signs 7-year deal with Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning made the first big splash of the offseason, finalizing a 7-year, 31.5 million dollar deal with former Penguin Ryan Malone.

According to TSN, the first two years of Malone’s deal will net him between an amazing 7-8 million dollars per year.

With the Lightning’s signing of Malone, the draft pick given to the Penguins for the negotiating rights of both Malone and Gary Roberts will now change from a fourth to a third round pick.
