Penguins re-sign Beech and Stone, sign ‘Burgh native Thomas

The Penguins continued to build upon their depth by signing three more forwards in the past couple of days.

As has been rumored for a few days, the Pens re-signed Kris Beech.  Beech only played in five games after rejoining the Pens before breaking his wrist on February 14th.

The Pens also re-signed forward Ryan Stone.  Many Pens fans are thinking this might be the year for Stone to make the Penguins’ lineup to provide a bit more grit, we’ll see about that.

Lastly, the Penguins signed Pittsburgh native and former Phoenix Coyote Bill Thomas.  Thomas played most of the past year with San Antonio of the AHL.

Last week, the Pens re-signed forward Connor James and signed defenseman Joey Mormina from the Carolina Hurricanes’ Albany River Rats.
