Penguins’ fans renew season tickets at 99% rate
The Penguins announced today that they’ve had renewals from 99% of their season ticket holders for this coming season.
With 2,100 people now on the season ticket waiting list, it appears that about 150 or so fans will now get the opportunity to purchase season tickets.
The Pens will cap the number of full season plans at 14,000, leaving the rest for partial plans and individual games.
The sellout string for the Penguins now stands at 67, and appears that it will easily hit triple digits in early 2009.
Pens president David Morehouse says, “This is another tribute to the passion and loyalty of Pittsburgh Penguins fans and, especially, our season ticket holders. It also gives us an opportunity to reward some of the fans who have been on our season ticket waiting list with the chance to buy Penguins season tickets. The waiting list is at more than 2,100 right now, and it is growing every week.”
Individual game tickets go on sale September 20th.
