Brett Favre: Retiring

According to Foxsports.com, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre has decided to retire. This decision comes amid rumors that the quarterback would be returning for his 18th season. Favre will retire as the statistical leader in several categories including career passing yards (61,655) and touchdowns (422). The sure bet Hall of Famer will leave behind a legacy in Wisconsin where he was revered like no other athlete before him. While today marks the end of an era it also marks the beginning of another. At this point the logical assumption would be that Aaron Rodgers will take the helm but perhaps the Packers will look at quarterbacks in the upcoming draft. Regardless of the Packers’ future this is a decision that the Cheese-Head faithful were hoping would be put off for another year.
