March Madness A Perfect Time To Get Vasectomy

So, you desperately want to watch every second of March Madness, but year after year, you’re stuck at work during the tournament and miss the games. What’s a college basketball fan to do? Well, I’ve got the perfect way to get some time off when the NCAA tournament gets underway: A vasectomy.

For guys who park in front of the TV during college basketball’s March Madness, the Oregon Urology Institute has a suggestion: Why not use that time to recover from a vasectomy?

“When March Madness approaches you need an excuse … to stay at home in front of the big screen,” the clinic’s radio ad says. “Get your vasectomy at Oregon Urology Institute the day before the tournament starts. It’s snip city.”

The clinic has already received 15 appointments, and expects to receive several more in time for the tournament.

Here’s what I want to know: Whatever happened to simply faking a cold, or strep throat, or a stomach ache? Are bosses really savvy enough that a vasectomy is the best way to get a couple days off during the tournament? Also, I’ve gotta hand it to the people who actually took the clinic up on its offer for a March vasectomy…they’re giving up the ability to have children so they can spend a few days watching a basketball tournament. That’s just hardcore — and I thought I was a serious fan of college basketball.
