Sean Avery And Eliot Spitzer Have Common Interests

New York Rangers enforcer Sean Avery and former New York Governor Elliot Spitzer have something in common: They pay for sex! Well, in Avery’s case, the allegations are just that — allegations — but the New York Daily News is reporting that Avery’s name was found in the black book of a high-class prostitution operation.

Rangers hockey star Sean Avery’s name and private cell phone number are in the little black book of Manhattan madam Kristin Davis.

Avery, 27, a trash-talking enforcer who has dated a string of models and actresses, is listed as a $500 client of brothel Maison de L’Amour.

Contacted Friday at the number in the records, the pretty boy known in the NHL as “The Animal” at first laughed when told where his name had turned up.

“For some reason, I highly doubt that,” Avery told the Daily News, insisting he was the target of a practical joke.

Well, this ain’t an April Fools joke, Sean — you were indeed listed among the 2,000 clients of Maison de L’Amour. Avery later released a statement calling the allegations “false and defamatory,” and I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on this. I’ll also state the obvious, and say that Avery has just received two minutes for hooking.

Of course, since Avery is a hockey player and not an elected public official, this story isn’t really a big deal. Even if the allegations are true, I think Rangers fans are more concerned with Avery helping his team win games than his dealings with high-priced hookers.

Click the link above, and you’ll see one of the prostitutes that Avery is rumored to have been a client of. Sean, you can spend all the money you want on prostitutes for all I care — but seriously, you dropped $500 on THAT?
