An NFL Thanksgiving feast: Previewing Thursday's games
In keeping with the NFL's Thanksgiving tradition, three games are
slated for Thursday -- the 10-1 Titans face the winless Lions at 12:30p
ET on CBS, the Cowboys host the Seahawks later in the afternoon on Fox,
and the Cardinals and Eagles square off on NFL Network just after 8:00p
ET. To preview this trio of games, we asked three of our favorite NFL
bloggers to give us a prediction for one of the games and a quick
rundown of what to expect...
Drexel of Total Titans previews the Titans-Lions matchup:
Coming off of a humbling 34-13 loss to the Jets, the Titans will be looking to recapture their mojo this week. Fortunately, the 0-11 Lions are next on the menu.
The Lions' 32nd ranked run defense should be a welcome sight to a Tennessee Titan running game that has uncharacteristically struggled as of late. Expect Smash and Dash to regain their swagger against a Detroit Lion squad that appears destined to reach the 0-16 mark.
Historically, Detroit is always a tough out on Thanksgiving. Unfortunately for Motor City fans, this year's Lions are historically inept. The Titans should prevail on Turkey Day.
Titans 26, Lions 10
Matt of Know Your Dallas Cowboys previews the Cowboys-Seahawks matchup:
The Cowboys learned last week that good things can happen when teams do not dedicate themselves to eliminating Terrell Owens from the Dallas offense. Owens is likely to receive more attention this week from the Seahawks, who come into the game ranked 31st in pass defense.
Even if Seattle can slow T.O. down, Jason Witten and Roy Williams should have big days. The Dallas defense is a little banged up but is still improving. The Seahawks are just as bad at passing (ranked 31st) as they are defending the pass, which certainly helps Dallas.
Cowboys 31, Seahawks 14
Eli of The Cardinals Report previews the Cardinals-Eagles matchup:
How does someone predict this game? The Philadelphia Eagles are in utter chaos at the moment. Andy Reid's job is in jeopardy and so is Donovan McNabb's. The team has looked awful the last few weeks and backup QB Kevin Kolb may not be the answer.
On the other side of things you have the Cardinals playing well, but they struggle in road games back east. Arizona is a passing team that's going to be playing their first game in cold weather, so that could be a problem especially since they can't run the ball.
Will Arizona continue to pass the ball well and shake off the struggles they've had in the past in road games? Will McNabb return to his old form and get the Eagles back on the right track? Both questions are tough to answer but we will see.
Cardinals 34, Eagles 24

Year-End Pound-For-Pound Top 20 List
Whereas before you could make an argument for Juan Manuel Marquez or Joe Calzaghe to deserve the top pound-for-pound spot, Manny Pacquiao's destruction of Oscar De La Hoya in a weight class well above where he started the year should end that debate. He's the best. Case closed.More of the "Best of MVN"
