Boom, Outta Here (Episode 1): Backups rule NFL; Kobe eyes Europe; Manny not impressed

MVN's first original sports talk television show "Boom, Outta Here" debuts with chatter about the Jets' anonymous jab at their Thursday night opponents, backup quarterbacks taking over the NFL and NBA stars eyeing offers from Europe.

Hosts Pat McSweeney and Brandon Rosage also take a stand against giving Manny what he wants (opting, instead, for Mark Teixeira) and encourage to NHL to embrace Dallas Stars center Mike Ribeiro's taunting and showboating from Wednesday night's shootout with the Los Angeles Kings.

    Yanks Versus Sox: In Depth

Even though we've built a top squad here, the Sox and Rays are still neck-and-neck, and the era where we could rely on money and mojo to put the Beantowners in their place is long gone. It should be a great season. We can't take the playoffs for granted the way we used to, but we should revel in the epic battle of what should be a classic race for the A.L. East crown.

So the Jets didn't want to be providing any locker room material for the Pats...but how stupid do you have to be to think that going "anonymous" is going to keep something off the locker room wall. It is still "on the record".

The Jets got the win, but the Patriots actually moved the ball better and their defense stepped up in the second half.

These teams are close...but I think the Pats win 6 out of 10.

Kerry Collins will cost the Titans a chance at the Super Bowl at some point this season. As a Giants fan, 2000 is case in point.

Who cares about Kobe to Europe...I mean...the Yankees just sold Darrel Rasner to Japan. What a blow to US athletes.

The NBA should set up a Euro league and play an NBA/NBA-E world championship after each season is over.

I feel bad for the fan base that gets stuck with Manny Ramirez for 4 plus years.

Teixeira deserves more years and annualized dollars than Manny. The Red Sox will run at Teixeira hard and look to move Lowell.

BOOM....I am Outa Here!
