NBA Fantasy Tracker: Look to Mason for points, threes
Every Wednesday, I'll highlight players who you should either add
to your fantasy team if you need the help or put on your watch list.
I'll also list a few players that should have their bags packed and may be
on their way to free agency in your league.
ADD/WATCH LIST
Roger Mason
Mason was asked to step into a bigger role with the injuries to Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, and so far he's been up to the challenge. In the Spurs most recent game against the Clippers, he had 21 points, including the game-winning three-pointer. Mason has shown he is not hesitant to shoot, and you should not hesitate to pick him up if he is a free agent in your league.
Marquis Daniels
Daniels has been a nice surprise for the Pacers. He's getting a lot of playing time and plenty of shots, averaging close to 15 points, 6 rebounds and 2.7 assists this season. His three-point percentage may be an issue for some, but I don't see Daniels slowing down, so you should pick him up before someone else does. He'll probably be gone if you wait until next week.
Ramon Sessions
I picked him for Most Improved Player during the preseason, and so far, Sessions has made me look very smart. If you don't know who he is, it's time to start paying attention. I watch listed him a few weeks back just to make sure Sessions could continue to provide decent fantasy numbers. It didn't take too long for me to dump Kyle Korver and pick up Sessions, who is averaging 15 points and 5 assists per game. His percentages aren't always great, but he does enough with scoring, assists and rebounds for you to add him now.
Anthony Morrow
Morrow, in typical Warriors fashion, came out of nowhere to score 37 points and 25 points in consecutive starts for Golden State. But will he sustain it or will it end up being lightning in a bottle. I would watch list Morrow for a few more games. He's starting to get added in leagues way too early, and it may be risky unless you have an open spot where it foesn't hurt to experiment bringing in different players.
Drop
Matt Barnes
I saw Barnes get picked a little high in a few fantasy leagues I play in and after he scored 21 points against Portland on November 1, some owners added him immediately. Unfortunately Barnes has been inconsistent since that game and he's not doing enough
J.R. Smith
I really expected this to be a god year for Smith, and when Allen Iverson got traded out of Denver, I thought Smith would have a chance to get more playing time and shots as well as possibly start. He's averaging 10.5 points a game and not enough of anything else to be taking up a roster spot.

Year-End Pound-For-Pound Top 20 List
Whereas before you could make an argument for Juan Manuel Marquez or Joe Calzaghe to deserve the top pound-for-pound spot, Manny Pacquiao's destruction of Oscar De La Hoya in a weight class well above where he started the year should end that debate. He's the best. Case closed.More of the "Best of MVN"
