He's the former head coach of the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, a former assistant for the Timberwolves, Magic, Hawks and Grizzlies. As a head coach in the CBA, he posted one of the highest winning percentages in league history.

He became the NBA's youngest head coach when he was hired to coach the Warriors at age 37. And when he became the head coach of the CBA's Rapid City Thrillers in 1989, he was the youngest in the league's history at 23 years of age. Now, he's rumored as a possible candidate for a coaching job at the collegiate level.

There's no question about it: Eric Musselman has accomplished a lot during his years as a basketball coach.

On top of all that, he's even a blogger. At Eric Musselman's Basketball Notebook and The New York Times' Fifth Down, Musselman regularly comments on matters related to the principles of coaching -- principles that are important in the world of sports and beyond.

In an interview with MVN Radio's Brandon Rosage as part of NBA Outsider's "Five Questions" series, Musselman opines on a variety of topics: What he misses most and least about coaching, the challenges of being a young head coach, and his thoughts on a possible return to coaching. He discusses the newly hired coach of the Denver Broncos, Josh McDaniels, and what difficulties McDaniels may encounter as the youngest head coach in professional sports. He sounds off on the headaches of dealing with the media. And, having coached Agent Zero for a season in Golden State, Musselman tells us why Gilbert Arenas was such an enjoyable player to coach.

    Franchising Cassel is good business

Whether or not to franchise Matt Cassel boils down to what's good business and what makes the most sense for the Patriots organization. Let's not forget, in the business of the NFL, the players are resources, or commodities, and they are signed and released based on their value, and rarely do teams make emotional decisions about keeping or releasing players.
