Greg Trippiedi Grades the Broncos' Call to Fire Mike Shanahan
NFL Outsider's Greg Trippiedi backed up his argument from Friday's "NFL Great Debate" that the Broncos were justified in firing long-time head coach Mike Shanahan, urging that his responsibility for personnel decisions and the maturity of their defense fell flat.
Because Denver finished 2008 second in the NFL in total offense and 29th in defense, dropping their last three games to allow San Diego to claim the AFC West title, Trippiedi argued with MVN Radio host Brandon Rosage that -- regardless of who the Broncos replace Shanahan with -- "he was a greater liability to the Broncos then he would be to any other team, and for their own best interests, the Broncos were correct to go in a different direction."
The audio interview serves as a companion to today's feature "NFL Great Debates: Were the Denver Broncos Right or Wrong to Fire Mike Shanahan?" at NFL Outsider.

How the Giants will BEAT the Eagles
Run Brandon Jacobs early and often. This is the most obvious and most important key to the game. If the Giants can get the big man to move the chains in the first quarter against Philly's undersized defensive front, they will control the ball and win this football game.More of the "Best of MVN"
