The value of the NFL's most highly touted teams and stars took some unlikely turns through last weekend's divisional round of the NFL Playoffs. NFL Outsider's James Rees joined MVN Radio to name those that gained the most and fell the furthest.

Rees assessed each of the weekend's "improbable quarterbacks in championship games," defending Baltimore QB Joe Flacco's shaky performance against Tennessee, Philadelphia QB Donovan McNabb's sideline phone call antics and Kurt Warner's unimaginable resurgence in an Arizona uniform.

The "NFL Stock Market" chat also picks up the pieces from Giants QB Eli Manning and Panthers QB Jake Delhomme's disappointing starts on their home field, as well as the Titans poor ball security and referees' inability to watch the play clock in Tennessee.

The audio interview serves as a companion to today's feature "NFL Stock Market: Improbable QBs and Ball Security" at NFL Outsider.

    Daric Barton for Nick Johnson

Why would the A's even think about this deal? Because Nick Johnson, when healthy, is the type of player Daric Barton dreams of becoming. Nick hits for high average, walks a ton, and hits for decent mid-level power. He also is a great fielder. At the plate, Daric looks to potentially be the same type of player average- and OBP-wise, though likely won't ever develop the power that Nick has.
