The Big 10 title hopes are gone. So too are those dreams of a high profile BCS at-large berth. Now the Nittany Lions will have to dig deep and show some character in rounding out their season to finish third in the Big 10.
First up is Senior Day at Beaver Stadium with Indiana in town. On paper its an easy win and the Lions have feasted on the easy competition this year. Tough to vision a team coming off a brutal loss backing it up with another deflating performance on Senior Day. After that is the bigger test with a trip to East Lansing to take on Sparty. Michigan St always is a tough squad to travel to, just ask Iowa. Sparty could be playing for third place as well two weekends from now so a New Years Day Bowl would be on the line.
Daryl Clark and company can go one of two ways from here on out. Fold up the tents and collapse to a mediocre Bowl game or finish strong and still end up playing in a solid game on New Years Day. Choice is your Lions…
