I dont know what to say.
I called it a few months ago. Would the Pistons even make the playoffs? I'm beginning to lean on the side of "LOTTERY PICK".

Allstar weekend is here
Allstar weekend is here. Is anyone going to watch the dunk contest? Ok back to our Pistons. Thank goodness for the allstar break. The Pistons need to get some rest, recover and begin to think what is needed to make it to the playoffs. I think Joe Dumars is working the trade block before the deadline arrives. Stick around, I think Joe D. has some more trades coming. This year might become a bust, but they could position themselves nice for next year. For next year - TO DO LIST #1. Get a true point guard #2. Get a good big man (who wont stand on the 3 pt. line) #3. Move Rodney Stuckey to the off guard. #4. Get an assistant coach that will drive in Defense into the players. ... Pistons put up a good fight, but fall to the Boston Celtics
The Detroit Pistons fell to the Boston Celtics Friday night at the Palace. It was a close game, but eventually the Celtics were too much. The Pistons are definately going through a rough patch. If, (and thats the big if) they make it to the playoffs, they are looking at a 6th or 7th seed at least. Lets hope they can string a few games together and get comfortable in the 6th seed. ... Pistons loose another game. The streak is at 5.
The Detroit Pistons are truly on a roll right now (sarcastically), dropping a fifth straight game. Since the return of Richard Hamilton and the small guard lineup, the Pistons look disorganized, confused, and just plain outworked. The Pistons go through these terrible lulls that allow opposing teams to come back and steal the game in the fourth quarter. The small guard lineup is not working, it's up to coach Michael Curry to fix things before this season can get out of control. The Pistons find themselves fighting for the 5th or 6th playoff spot. That's not where you want to be if you plan on making a run to the championship. Is this season a lost cause? What do you think? ... Read more

The Pistons continue to slide on that dreaded loosing streak. I have the blame!
The Detroit Pistons are not looking good right now. I have the blame. The three guards starting the game with Iverson, Rip, and Stuckey does not work at all. This is obvious that teams are taking advantage of the lineup. There has to be a decision by Coach Curry to stand up and set a lineup that will win games. Someone in the guard rotation has to go to the bench. Who will it be? Right now, things dont look good. Hang on folks. It's going to get rough. ... Read more

Pistons top the Nuggets, old teammates reunite
The Denver Nugget's Chauncy Billups played gracious host early on torching the Pistons for 20 in the first half. Looks like he was motivated to show the Pistons "Look at me now". Allen Iverson had a warm welcome prior to the game from the crowd. It seems like the fans gave the "Thanks for your time" cheer for Iverson. When Billups started his first half rampage. It looked like Billups was looking to drop at least 50 on the Pistons. The second half was different. The defense tightened up and Tayshaun Prince stepped it up. As of late, Prince has become a focal point on the Pistons attack and guess what? They are winning. This formula of Prince and Rodney Stuckey seems to be working well. Lets hope they can continue to develop and get better for the playoffs.... Read more

Stuckey pours it on as the Pistons winning streak goes to 6
Chauncy Billups who? Rodney Stuckey poured in 38 as the Pistons slipped past the Kings. 98-92.The Pistons were short three players seeing McDyess, Hamilton, Wallace all out with various nagging injuries. Playing with 9 players didn't seem to bother the Pistons advance over the listless Kings. Stuckey dominated the game with good jump shots and driving past any King defender thrown at him. NBA coaches should to start to take notice of Stuckey for the NBA all star team. His caliber of play right now is top 5 in the Eastern Conference right now. Will he make the all star team this year? What do you think? ... Read more

Pistons 88, Magic 82 - Pistons win another with solid defense
The Detroit Pistons won another game by smothering the Orlando Magic with blanket like defense. Pistons won with a strong perfomance from Rodney Stuckey. More and more, the Iverson for Billups trade is making sense. It looks like Stuckey was ready to become the starter at the beginning of the year. Hats off to Antonia McDyess with a gutsy performance. After getting knocked around in a mid air collision, he came back to finish the ball game. A looking at the Pistons record, where would they be if they had McDyess the whole time? Good question there.... Read more

Rip out vs the Bucks, Defense in
The Milwaukee Bucks didn't expect to see the Pistons revert to the 2004 championship Pistons. Rip was out with a groin strain, the Pistons turned up the defense limiting Milwaukee's tandem of Michael Redd and Richard Jefferson to a combined 14 pts. This lead to a relatively easy game for the Pistons. I hope coach Michael Curry keeps preaching this style of shutdown basketball. The Pistons have enough talent to make the playoffs and possibly go far, but it's this old friend called defense that will determine how far they go in the post season. ...
