Seattle predicting Qwest Field sellout tonight…for soccer
Late Wednesday word from the Seattle-Post Intelligencer,
“To say soccer has taken Seattle by storm would be an understatement.”
“Wednesday’s international friendly between China and Mexico at Qwest Field has sold more than 48,000 tickets and is likely to sell out before the 8 p.m. kickoff.”
“So there may be no better opportunity for the Sounders FC to get a good look at how a high-caliber game can be operated with their inaugural season still more than 11 months away. That’s why the MLS club will be keeping a close eye on the action on and off the field while also promoting the club at each chance.”
