League’s new goal-scoring leaders — David Beckham and Landon Donovan
With their two goals scored together for the Galaxy last night, both Landon Donovan and David Beckham have jumped to the top of Major League Soccer’s season stats lists - Donovan for goals scored and Beckham for tallied assists (after first four weeks).
Donovan has five goals total - two more than anyone else (as of Sunday morning). Beckham has three assists, and they are all on goals scored by Donovan. These two are turning out to be quite a team, as all fans had hoped. One must believe that the scoring situation can only improve once Carlos Ruiz returns from injury rehab.
