All this weekend ! — Southern California Beach Soccer Championship events in San Diego County
| Through this Sunday, in Oceanside (San Diego County), CA, is the second annual SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BEACH SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP, with many other fun and exciting events and activities surrounding the actual competition.I was priviledged to help this event get off the ground when it debuted last year, and as a volunteer, I have been happy to help promote it both years. I am very proud of the great job that Life Thru Sports and all of the sponsors, including the LA Galaxy, have done in this huge undertaking which evolves over many months each year, and in 2008 will end this weekend in a great fun experience that is open and FREE to the public. Then, after this weekend, with primary events on Saturday and Sunday, the entire process in planning for 2009 begins anew. I would like to share with you the North County Times preview of the event here in its entirety, with the link at top being the live competition schedule. At bottom of the pgae is basic event info and main bookmark link for all year ’round. The event organizers will be putting up results as they happen, and then photo galleries. I will also do some more reporting on this for MVN here.
If you live in the area, but cannot attend, you can see live reports on the local morning and afternoon news shows. LIVE COMPETITION SCHEDULE - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BEACH SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP Soccer by the Sea: Beach soccer championships offer sandy fun and games |
