Thursday’s SuperClasico between both LA teams, tied for 1st place [UPDATED]

The latest SuperClasico derby match - the second in the season series between the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA - was a wild one, with a high number of shots as well as fouls.  In the end, they came out the way it seemed to be intended…1-1, with both teams still tied atop the West (22 pts.)…

This time - for the first time in history - the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA will be playing each other in the SuperClasico while tied at the top of the Western Conference.  After the weekend’s win by Chivas and loss by LA, the two now have identical records of 6-6-3, giving each 21 points…

Since Chivas USA was a 2005 expansion team, this is the fourth year for the SuperClasico derby;  Galaxy won the season series the first two years, and Chivas won in 2007.  This year…it’s really anybody’s guess !
