Devin Harris Wants Some Help
First off, I'm sure most of you hoopheads have seen this. This happened around October, I believe. Anyway, yeah, this is Devin Harris from the New Jersey Nets in London where he was challenged by former British streetballer, Stuart Tanner. This was like something you'd see in White Men Can't Jump (my favorite basketball movie EVER).
Ha ha. Okay, I get it. If this were a game to 5 or 7 or something, Devin Harris would most likely beat him. But in this one session, he was one-upped by Stuart Tanner. By the way, big ups to Devin for being such a good sport about this.
Anyway, that might have been the motivation for him because he is now playing at an All-Star level.
And thanks to Mike from Project Spurs for this. He told me about this during our podcast (that went three times as long as it should have) last night.
Chris Bosh did this last year. Then Amar'e Stoudemire followed suit. And now... Harris himself is doing it.
They're capitalizing on the George Bush shoe-throwing phenomenon (which, admittedly, has gotten a little played out). I thought it was a nice little touch that Vince Carter and Yi Jianlian (the Nets have rightly anticipated that he's going to get some votes, too) were in the commercial, too.
But I don't think Devin Harris has to resort to something like this. When Chris Bosh did this, it was fresh at the time... and it came out funny. I actually wasn't too impressed with Stoudemire's (but he's going to get in, anyway)... and this one is hit or miss depending on who you ask.
Like Amar'e, he's going to be in, regardless. I just think that Devin Harris should just let his play speak for himself.

Yeah, I had to wikipedia why you were typing Amare's name that way. Actually, would the correct possessive be "Amar'e's" or "Amar'e'" with just the comma and the intended "s" meaning possession?
Either way, hella confusing.

Yeah, I didn't learn about this, either, until a couple of weeks ago. I don't like typing it like that, either, but according to Mr. Stoudemire, that's the right way to spell his name!
