Down to 65

The Patriots announced additional cuts to bring their roster in line with the mandatory 65 (excluding NFL Europe players).
The following players were cut: kicker Robbie Gould, guard Ryan Krug, and defensive linemen Ifo Pili and Santonio Thomas.
Others released also include:
Receiver Jason Anderson (my pick to make the practice squad ñ still could happen!).
Running back/returner Chad Morton, signed as a free agent this year he has not produced much in practice or the earlier preseason games.
Cornerback Hank Poteat was picked up by the Pats just before last yearís post season. He played well enough considering he was new to the system. If he doesnít get picked-up by another team, I would expect him to be called back if any injuries happen during the year.
This still makes it interesting for the receivers in camp. Obviously Thursday night versus the Giants will be the last game for a few people, so at the moment it looks like it will be mostly wide receivers cut to get down to the 53-man roster by the next deadline.
At running back it looks pretty much as expected with Dillon, Pass, and Faulk as making the team and Kory Chapman and Kyle Eckel being the only outstanding questions and possible member of the practice squad.
