Patriots and Bears make a corner deal

An unknown defensive player was sighted today during training camp wearing number 38.
The Chicago Sun Times broke the news indicating there was a trade between the Patriots and Chicago Bears allowing the Patriots to acquire cornerback Dante Wesley for a conditional draft pick.
A wide receiver turned cornerback, the 6-foot, 1-inch 210 pound player was a 2002 forth round selection by the Carolina Panthers before joining the Bears in 2006.
Wesley has seen most of his action on special teams and sparingly as a back up cornerback.
This may mean the Patriots are looking for CB depth and a lengthy holdout from Asante Samuel.
Or maybe they are unhappy with special teams practice so far which could impact players such as Gemara Williams or rookie Mike Richardson?
