Parcells going to Miami? There goes the neighborhood!

As much as Bill Parcells may be considered a ‘Hall of Fame’ coach in the NFL, I would prefer to see him liking the Patriots from the commentator spot on TV.
I like the fact TO is more concerned about Parcells then playing football. TO is in Dallas in part because of Parcells. Now TO has been ripping him apart and Keyshawn Johnson has been caught in the middle sticking up for his old coach and TV colleague. TO keep looking at the thing going off the field and then whne you are not in the Super Bowol you can blame Wade Phillips.
So after that…
If the neighborhood was not crowded enough with Nick Saban in Miami and Eric Mangini in New York, now Parcells (former Patriots Head coach and boss of Bill Belichick for the kids out there) may take a job in charge of the Miami Dolphins front office.
Parcells brings immediate credibility to any team. Look back to the Patriots (under James Orthwein before selling the team) signing him and selling out season tickets in less time it takes to down load Fitzy.
With Saban and Mangini in town, there was some concern that the disciples knew what Belichick was going to do. As Parcells was once considered Belichick’s master (and part of the reason Belichick left the Jets head coaching job – yes this is also for the kids…) it may seem like an easy decision for Miami owner Wayne Huizenga to choose Parcells to compete in the AFC East.
But to be honest (as I am wanting to be) it may be too late for Miami. But if the rumors are true that Huizenga is trying to sell the team.. then maybe it will work for his Swiss banking account then better for the team, the players and for Parcells.
In the meantime, Belichick and the Patriots have a season to complete and a destiny to follow. This may not mean 19-0 and undefeated, but anything less then a Super Bowl is a wasted season of coaching, talent and fan(atic) emotion and money.
So if Parcells does come in and we look back into our youth (sorry kids if Sesame Street has change) – ‘Who are the people in our Neighborhood’ or ‘Which one of these Things does note belong here’ – we must all agree Buffalo is still (and for the near future) the one team that does not look the same.
OK – for the old school boys (and girls) Belichick, Parcells and Levy (Marv of the Bills front office) would be of the same 80′s and 90′s era with Mangini being the one in diapers…
At any rate – it will be interesting if people return to the neighborhood as long as if it is for a visit and not an idea to park their RV out front. (Don’t fall in love with her Clark as we are taking her with us when we leave next month!).
As a few people have noted via email and chat, I have not been writing as much.Work in Zurich, London and Dublin has kept me busy.
I love my Patriots and have been writing here for a number of years and I do not plan on leaving any time soon!

Tuna in Atlanta – Tuna in Miami – “Tuna sure is getting popular down south”. Hmmm…Tuna in Charlotte?
Look, we all are hungry for own favorite teams to be well coached – but, is Tuna the only answer? There is another “Bill” that would be a “steel” – the guy with the funny chin that simply wins. Are you calling the right Bill?

It’s a shame, my hatred of Parcells and his ’96 Superbowl shenanigans was starting to erode because he was pretty good on espn (I must admit, his weasel predictions make me chuckle). Now he’s back in our division? “Can” the tuna!
