Super Sunday is finally upon us

It certainly has been an interesting two weeks since the conference championship games. We’ve had to endure endless coverage of an ankle, a game prediction from a wide receiver, a day-to-day WR, a singing and dancing Michael Strahan, and a rehashing of old controversies. Tomorrow, on Super Sunday, all of that will no longer matter. No more talking or singing (unless you’re Tom Petty), no more predictions, and no more Anklegate. It all

I think the Giants’ DTs against the interior Pats’ O-line is a pretty even matchup. Barry Cofield is not real great but solid enough and Fred Robbins might be the most underrated NYG even among Giants fans…

  2. Kevros says:

Oops…I also meant to say that I think they will go back and forth all game. The DTs will disappear for parts of the game but I think Fred Robbins will be able to get some pressure on Brady if not a sack or two. Pretty even matchup in my opinion…

    fuck the patriots

    fuck all patriot frontrunners

I disagree. While the Giants DTs are solid, Mankins and Koppen are exceptional, and Neal is solid. I think the Pats get the nod in that match. Our tackles, however, are in a mismatch versus Osi and Strahan.

You’re an idiot. Come back when you have something intelligent to say. I have no problems with disagreements, but your comments are just dumb. You give Giants fans a bad name.

So, eddie obviously nows nothing of football or either team seeings he didn’t have anything to add as to how the giants are going to match up against the Pats… I do agree with Kevros about Robbins being underrated and I think he will make his presents known come Super Sunday, but I believe it is going to take something exstordinary to end this perfect season… GO PATS!!!!

The only ankles worthy of time are shapely female ankles with an anklet, such as those in the following clip:

wow……first, i am amazed at how few people read the articles and post on this Patriots blog. of the 6 posts, 5 were from giants fans and the only reason those 5 are here is because Kervos provided a link to it on one of his posts. i guess all the NE fans are at the game and don’t have access to the internet, lol. second, your analysis is incomplete with regard to the interior of the giants defensive lin……i don’t know how either you or KERVOS missed the fact that Tuck is used as a defensive tackle on obvious passing downs….hmmm, so much for competent thorough analysis. Given Tucks presence, the edge has to go to the giants. BTW, if the giants are to rattle Brady the pressure must come from the middle so that he is unable to step up in the pocket. This is imperative for the giants to win this game. Don’t be surprised to see a lot of delayed blitzes up the middle by Antonio Pierce or Torbor.
Good luck NE, your old / aging team will need it in the 4th quarter.
    18 – 1

No matter who plays the middle for the G-Men, the Pats have the edge in my opinion. Mankins in particular is near the top of league at the guard position, and combined with Koppen and Neal, the interior of the Pats O-line is tremendous. It’s the edges where the Giants have the advantage. The only a DT gets a sack is if a guard pulls to stop a stunt and opens up the middle.

  11. F the Pats they r cheaters no matter what happens there will be a big * next to their “record”

  12. Beth says:

maybe more pats fans aren’t commenting because they have better things to do on Super Bowl Sunday than go onto their opponents’ team blogs and drop f-bombs.
p.s. giants / yankees fans need to be careful who they’re calling frontrunners. i suppose next we’ll hear about how classless all patriots fans are, right? unlike the fine upstanding gentlemen on the giants side? any giants fans want to misspell anything to that effect on this thread?
christ, let’s just play some football already. enough of this shit.

  13. Bob says:

Did the patriots really do this. did anyone see it in person???

LOL I don’t know if that’s real but either way it’s pretty funny.

  15. HopLax08 says:

hey jamie – take a look at my post above…..spot on i’d say….5 sacks on brady, 12 knock downs…..mostly from up the middle……u still think the Pats o-line won’t allow pressure up the middle? hindsight is 20/20 but i called it 9 hours b4 the game.
it was a great game, hard fought by both teams. clearly the Pats and Giants were the best teams in the nfl. i suspect that they will see each other again in the coming years.

  16. Tom says:

Patriots biggest nightmare come true, 18-0 talk for two weeks then choke in the super bowl…..in the end it was the patriots who weren’t able to adjust to the giants pass rush, they were not willing to change for just one game and go max protect during 3rd and longs, how the hell did they underestimate the giants pass rush. Beli-cheat should have been spying on tuck, the one who made brady his bitch in the first half.
