Ever since WR Chad Jackson was drafted 2 years ago, Patriots fans have been waiting for him to break out and show his amazing talent on an NFL field. Injuries have slowed Jackson down, and he didn’t even see the field last season. As Brent alluded to in his look ahead, this is the make or break year for Jackson. The Pats had their passing camp earlier this week, and Chad Jackson had full participation. Not only did he have full participation, he lined up at an interesting spot on the field: opposite Randy Moss. Yep, that’s what fans have started to believe a draft bust lining up as the #2 WR. Jabar Gaffney lined up in the slot with Wes Welker missing camp.
Of course, it is only May, and it is only passing camp. Belichick even downplayed it’s significance, calling it, “a teaching camp.”

Jackson is being given every chance to take that starting role, and he really is the best candidate. He can run after the catch, has decent hands and unbelievable speed. I am really rooting for the guy not to become the next Bethel Johnson and I think Bill is too.
