The Patriots are all about taking advantage of their opportunities this year. Scoring points when it counts.

While the Patriots are averaging only 85% of the total offensive yards gained by their opponents, they have scored 40% more touchdowns, 21 to 15.

Two of New England's scores have com via interceptions, another category where the Pats lead their opponents, taking 6 interceptions on the year and only giving away 4.

Brandon Tate also has two kick return for touchdowns, giving the Pats a scoring threat on special teams that opponents will have to plan for.

In other words, every one one the team is contributing. The complete breakdown of touchdowns on the season is as follows:
Rushing - 5
Passing - 11
Returns - 2
Defensive - 3

I'm sure the Patriots are focused on improving, as they lag behind their opponents thus far in total first downs, third down conversions, passing yards, and time of possession.

However, as long as New England can score touchdowns when the game is on the line, they will continue to win.

Hey Vern, thank you for a long and thoughtful comment. I think there has been a lot of good debate to come out of this game and ppl have made excellent points on both sides. I don't know that we'll ever come to agreement, though. :)

Thanks again for commenting and reading. Hope you'll continue.
