Where have we been?
Three weeks off, huh? Actually, that's not entirely true. Friday we started our player reviews for the season, but that review of Matt Holliday got temporarily lost in all the changes going on at MVN. (It'll be back, we promise.)
It's a tad early for the hot stove talk. The World Series isn't even over (it hasn't even begun), and free agency won't even start until next month. Right now we're prepping for that. Most likely, we're preparing to say good-bye to Brian Fuentes, though there's still a shot he could come back in 2009.
Until then, we'll be posting all the player reviews from the season. And enjoy the World Series. The Rays are such a good story that it's hard not to root for them, but the last time the Phillies made the World Series, the Rays weren't even a team yet. Heck, the Phillies have been around since pretty much the beginning of baseball and have only won it all once, and the city of Philadelphia hasn't celebrated a world championship in any sport since 1983. At least Tampa has had the Bucs and the Lightning in recent years.
