Caps mid-day Quick update
First, apologies on the lack of Red Alert. Day off, and guess what, busier than when I have no day off.
–> First, Jose Theodore will be in net tonight when the Capitals face off against the New York Islanders. Caps will no doubt be looking for the Theo of earlier in the season. Over the past three games, Theo has allowed 10 goals, some of which were pretty soft.
–> Alexander Ovechkin was upgraded from week to week to questionable for this weekend. There is s chance we could see him in one of the match ups this weekend. The Caps face Minnesota at home on Friday and travel to New Jersey on Saturday.
–> D Jeff Schultz is back practicing and could take the ice tonight against the Isles. Shultz has missed the last two games. No word on Shultzie just yet. Mike Green will return to the lineup after missing last game. Tyler Sloan will be a healthy scratch.
—> Finally a Gordo update. Boyd Gordon will not play tonight, but we will likely see Boyd Gordon return to the lineup this weekend. Including tonight, Gordo has missed the last 12 games with a back injury.
It’s the Caps and Isles tonight at 7PM.
