Alzner recalled to Caps
Seems like every game over the past two week, the Washington Capitals have a player making his NHL season debut. They do again tonight. 2007 first rounder D Karl Alzner has been recalled form Hershey and will make his NHL season debut against Buffalo.
It appears Milan Jurcina is ready to return to the ice, but no sign of Shaone Morrisonn and Tom Poti. With Boyd Gordon still out with an ailing back, D Tyler Sloan will slide up to Line 4 again tonight.
Alzner will join 2008 first rounder D John Carlson on the Caps blue line. Line combos will come shortly. Caps fans get to see the two main prospects on the ice together tonight, two guys that will be expected to anchor the blue line for years to come.
