Project Overview

Con Edison needed to install a bridge for new electrical conduits over the Bronx Kill, and they awarded MVN this truly complex project.

MVN was tasked with assembling the bridge’s structure and installing it beneath the trestles of an existing railroad bridge.

Doing the job safely and efficiently required us to develop customized construction techniques for the sub-assembly and installation of the bridge in a low-clearance area.

We also coordinated the transfer of ownership of the bridge from Con Edison to the city after completion of the work, and our familiarity with all parties helped ensure the project and property transaction went smoothly.
