Project Overview
The scale of power generation is reflected in the size and cost of the equipment used for its operation. The safe transport and correct assembly of that equipment is essential to both a power plant’s operation and its cost effectiveness.
KeySpan trusted MVN to assemble and transport over 880 tons of equipment via barge to its Ravenswood Power Plant. The equipment included 18 air-cooled condenser cells, the main steam return elbow, manifold, ducts, risers, and header piping.
Some of the individual components weighed in over 120 tons, and it was all delivered safely and on time.
